This is the unbelievable story of how you can become an co-Châtelain of the beautiful château de la Mothe Chandeniers for just 50 Euros!!
On October 6, 2017, the start-up Dartagnans and the association adopt a château launched the crazy idea of collectively buying the Mothe Chandeniers in order to save it and propose a new model to preserve the heritage. This fund-raising campaign is the largest ever for a heritage project in France.

How can you help us and our channel grow? visit the link below:
www.buymeacoff...
We have the loveliest supporters and followers of our RU-vid channel 'It's a Wonderful Life'.
We remain committed to provide our content regularly, and of late, to increase the frequency of our vlogs. We have and continue to receive, many kind requests, to send gifts, or in some way help us financially with our channel.
We have given this a great deal of thought. Whilst 'Patreon' and 'go fund me' are out of the question for us, we feel the 'buy me a coffee platform' (or for us, a cup of tea!) would be a great way to do this, especially in light of its ease of use and non ongoing commitment.
Any contribution towards maintaining and hopefully enhancing our channel is very much appreciated, but never expected.

So, this is my favourite chateau, but this information is only partially true. The group is not planning to restore the Chateau, even though that was the story they raised money with. They have done a massive amount of work to stabilize it and turn it into a park so that people can visit it and not be in danger. However apparently they have no further plans to bring it back. This is why it still looks the same years after they started fundraising. Their website does tell some of the story and for those who speak French there's also more info on the government website as well.

What a sad sad story… all that workmanship and all the hours in creating what was once a beautiful building. And now it seems it has a future where happiness may once again be shared within its walls. All very interesting, thank you for sharing. Best wishes for a healthy and peaceful 2024. 🍷🥂

Great to see these videos Peter. BUT the vocals are a bit muffled and then you put music over it. I have Misophonia which makes it very difficult to separate the speech and music. Using the subtitles is a pain as I miss much of the video. Thanks for sharing. ATB regards from the UK

Thank you for something so different and moving. Makes me think of Dan restoring Chateau Chaumont destroyed by fire and hundreds and thousands of us are following his progress. The problem is there are many such Chateaux in France in a sad state. We are lucky in the UK we have the National Trust and Historical England which tries to save properties for the public to visit for a Membership fee or admission fee. Happy New Year to you both and look forward to more interesting places to visit etc. 🍷🍷🇬🇧🇬🇧

OMG, you would have to be a billionaire many times over to be able to afford to restore that structure - whether it is worth it, is an entirely different story, of course! Is it "listed" or, whatever the equivalent is in France? TBH, never really going to happen, is it? Those slanting exterior stairways/balconies reminds me of scenes from "The Serpent Queen" - extraordinarily beautiful and intricately built by true craftsmen. I personally am always amazed how structures were built/erected 2/3/4 centuries ago without present day technology and machinery. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
