EP. 14 - Metallurgy ART warfare continues at the Titan 1 with metal scrapping that has been officially launched. The Titan 1 underground Nuclear Bunker was developed during the Cold War as a deterrent against a Soviet nuclear strike against the United States. The Titan 1 Missile Silo complex was armed with 3 Nuclear Missiles, each 98 ft missile was armed with a destructive 4.5 megaton warhead and payload [the equivalent of 4.5 Million Tons of TNT per missile].
---------------------------------------------------------------------
With the worldwide Covid pandemic of 2020, forced lockdowns, food and supply chain disruptions, severe travel restrictions, riots and looting of his local neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills and other communities in Los Angeles, it was time for Nik to leave.
Nik leaves his hillside mansion in the Hollywood Hills to live in an abandoned 1960's Military Nuclear Bunker that was designed as an underground city 165 feet deep. The Titan 1 Nuclear Bunker Complex was decommissioned in 1965, frozen in time and lay abandoned until now. It remains the largest privately owned underground bunker complex in America:
The 'Nuclear Bunker Living' You Tube series documents Nik's exploration and renovation of America's largest and most hardened underground Nuclear Military Bunkers.

The Titan 1 Nuclear Bunker Complex was the largest secretive underground complex of its time and still remains America's most hardened underground structure. Construction for the Titan 1 commenced in 1959. It was designed as a virtual underground city with independent power for 17 buildings and domes up to 165 feet deep, 35 Million gallons of annual water allocation, sewer, kitchen, bathrooms, sleeping quarters with chemical, biological and nuclear air filtration.
Over 600,000 cubic yards of earth were removed in the facility's construction, 32,000 cubic yards of epoxy polymer- modified concrete rated at up to 15,000 PSI, 300 tons of piping, 90 miles of cables, 3,000 ton of 3 inch rebar and a labyrinth of 2,500 feet of expansive tunnels.
The Titan 1 Nuclear Bunker Complex cost the American taxpayers a total of $47 million [1962 $ Dollars] to build. Indexed to inflation, the replacement value of a Titan 1 Nuclear Bunker Complex today would be $325 Million Dollars.

I've been catching up from the beginning and I really enjoy that you share this with us. I worked in the Minutemen complex in the 90s. It's fascinating to see just how much more efficient the Launch Control Facilities are as well as the new(er) silos are.

Did you ever get to remove that concrete lid with the loader?

That’s still in play. It’s incredibly stubborn. We could demo it but I want to preserve the lid and reuse.

I think the video series should be renamed “Video of nuclear bunker destruction, killing the living history”

Saving it from DECAY. Appreciate your feedback @John Ross. I’ll invite you to the Titan 1 museum that will be built to preserve all artifacts. It will be the only Titan 1 museum in the U.S.

@@NuclearBunkerLiving Thank you for the invite. We will see what the size of the “museum” is In between whatever doomsday shelter (or under ground crypto mining operation) for the Uber wealthy you are creating. You bought three of these from hermit owners, so you and others who have messed up California (while exploiting for personal wealth) can escape the mess? I offer if you want a sustained audience here that supports what you are doing…. Suggest you become more transparent about your past, why you are fleeing CA, and what (if anything), you will be doing something useful for these sites that helps any other humanity except for a few anointed.

@@johnross6314 I am Glad to see anyone do anything with the sights.' 60 years of rain , mixing with who knows what , chemical, metal or contamination. HE IS STOPPING THIS! Just the cost getting the garbage off surface, He should be given an award. If he makes this into a fort some trillionaire, Great.... better than have a SH%^ hole on property destroying water for next 60 years.....

@Michael. Thank you. Stabilizing the decay in the Titan 1 is paramount. It’s been neglected for too long. I’m doing the same at the other 2 nuke complexes. Appreciate your feedback Sir…
