Laziness connects to lust in that we lack stewardship of our urges and the diligence and patience to wait for whom God has for us. Laziness in that we desire instant gratification versus operating with perseverance.

This is crazy to me since I have been lazy with Jesus over the past few days. I instantly clicked on this when I saw the title cause i was hit with some crazy conviction
Same I usually don’t watch longer videos unless I feel I really need the wake up call and my reasoning for that being “I’m too lazy to flip my phone to long ways” because I’m used to jsu holding it up vertically and I saw this video and was gonna ignore it but I immediately felt that conviction too and was like nah this is something I need and I know it.

In regards to one of the comments you made - I’ve been thinking about laziness and its relation with lust recently. I’ve found that laziness/procrastination can lead to boredom, a wandering mind, consuming content that is not appropriate, etc. A lot of times this will lead to lust or any sexual sin. Thank you for the reminder to appreciate what God has gifted us.

I struggle with laziness so much it makes me feel like a failure. I have times when I work hard but I always end up falling back into it. Im taking steps but I’m really struggling with this. I’m thankful for the message.

I found that whenever I didn't do what God wanted me to do that day I would fall into lust. Laziness is definitely linked to lust. Whenever your in the word you don't have time to lust. It's all about running away from sin. Amen.
As Braxten’s former employer, he without a doubt practices what he preaches. Many times would he ask for extra hours and unlike many employees who would literally sit on their phone and expect to get paid, he worked incredibly hard without wavering even when things were stressful. I’ve been avoiding this video for 2 days, because I was scared of feeling convicted, but I felt convicted to watch it. I’m really trying to get used to correction, and to be okay with being convicted because it will be used for my benefit in the end. God corrects the ones he loves. Thank God for this video
I genuinely find it hard to watch some things that are longer forms of videos. I know sixteen minutes is not necessarily crazy long, but my flesh just wants to drive me away from it. I found that when you spoke about this topic or when this video began, it's almost as if my Spirit took over and helped me listen to it because I needed to. To reveal things through what you are saying about my personal way of life. This was a fantastic topic and video and I'm sure it will help me become a better followed of God because of it. Amen. 🙏
This exactly how I felt, a weird yet calm feeling. I always try to resist clicking off, but this time it felt like I just surrendered. It was a much much needed conviction.

This topic reminds me of Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed and where it says in they Bible “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. I wasn’t like this until I got depressed and now it’s like a snowball effect trying to dig myself out. It’s the most annoying thing ever. I used to judge the lazy now I’ve become the judged. True story. Pray for me please.
Don't beat yourself up. Accepting that there are other factors that contribute (such as depression) and not just blaming yourself can help you work on a fix. God is kind, and patience is a virtue.

This was exactly what I needed. I've been struggling with laziness for a while now, and I kept getting frustrated with myself for procrastinating. I prayed for God to help me to no avail, but I realise that God has already provided all I need to work hard. Everyday I wake up I remember that God has chosen me, like so many people died but God chose to wake me up today which means I have a God given purpose for each day. Thanks for the word, God bless
I think you can link laziness with lust; like the quote 'idle hands are the devil's playthings'. Personally, if I oversleep or am not doing anything productive, I can fall into lust out of boredom. So you are so right it is all linked.

Hello how do you make such monthly, I am a born again Christian and sometimes I feel so down 🙁of myself because of low finance but I still believe in God.
Arrogance has such a harsh picture because we rarely hear that word - but the Bible definitely tells us how foundational pride is to all other sins (Lucifer in Isaiah 14, the pride of life in 1 John 2) Whoever wants to become great must become a servant. Just like Christ, the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many. (Mark 10) So good. I like the framing of this. Gratitude does help us find more energy.
I joined this video precisely because I was lazy, so I saw this video and thought "hmm interesting", and now I'm perplexed how God managed to catch me off guard yet again!
Just a reminder for anyone that needs it: Being unproductive doesn't necessarily mean you're arrogant and lazy. There can be other factors getting in the way of your ability to get up and go - things that aren't automatically solved by just being grateful. Depression, ADHD, chronic illness, grief, etc. can get in the way. Personally what motivates me to overcome my inactivity is knowing God loves me intimately and is excited to see what I will do in my life - that it brings him joy to watch me and that it's wonderful to produce work while having it in mind that I get to share it with him and that he is pleased with it like a parent would be of their child's drawing on the fridge. Meaning, we don't need to earn his love through work, but he loves seeing what we do.
Thanks! Him saying that God is being kind by giving me another day got me stressed out lol. I have difficulty doing something if i know that me messing it up could upset or disappoint someone and i know God wont be disappointed in me for struggling but its still a lingering thought. :( have adhd and im autistic so sometimes i feel overwhelmed by what i have to do, confused on where to start or procrastinate because of other reasons. Thinking about my parents and God being happy im being productive is a really nice way for me to be more motivated and i want to achieve that goal ^^ It'll be hard sometimes but working bit by bit to be more productive and trying my best will get me somewhere i know it ❤

It puts perspective on where I want and need to be to align my life with the Gospel!! Not all of His word will have you feeling happy and uplifted, sometimes I feel guilty and called out, but that’s when I ask for forgiveness and repent!!! Much love for you on your path with Christ ❤
I prayed over my breakfast this morning and i also asked God to forgive me for not seeking him lately (praying, reading the Bible ect.). I said i have been lazy and i know you will help me, give me strength and wisdom to be able to overcome this, since laziness is something i always have struggled with. Something told me to erase social media on my phone and since i had nothing to do, i said “let me watch video”. And i came across this video. It’s incredible.
- It’s irrigate to think that you’re going to do things tomorrow. The better way is to think if it’s God will to do it - laziness and procrastination is a sin, because it’s assuming God will give you another time to do something. - Humble yourself, God has given you 12hrs a day to do what you need to do everyday. - Time is a gift, God doesn’t owe you anything. Use your time wisely, don’t waste the time that God has given you. - Be grateful for the time God has given you, this is the true way to get over laziness. - Be humiliated. You must not waste the gift of time that God has given you. - Gratitude and being humble is the true way to get over laziness.
James 4:13 - 16 It tells us to not be prideful with what we decide to do tomorrow. It’s only in God’s will for what he truly chooses us to do tomorrow. Be thankful if God even gives you a chance to breath tomorrow
I wept when you prayed. Needed this reminder and that prayer. I felt a bit overwhelmed, transitioning rn but I see what God has called me to, can’t make excuses. So much love bro, this was straight from Jesus and really woke me back up! I rebuke laziness. So grateful for this video. i am brazilian and have been trying to seek God asking for wisdom and your video just popped up while i was trying to talk to him and as i was hearing you i just felt exposed. God is giving me so many chances to try again but i take everything for granted like i have all the eternity to do good and can do it later, but no, i have to change now give my life to him now and be grateful to the blessings hes giving me even tho im a sinner, this world is not mine its his and he gave me free will to choose and i choose him. Thank you for this message. 🙏🏼 It made me realize how evil TikTok, reels, shorts, and social media in general are because they feed off of our time and attention. When I had TikTok, I could easily spend 3-6 hours SCROLLING through pointless videos just trying to catch a dopamine fix. It was too easy to get stuck in, difficult to pull away from and I remember feeling frustrated and tired all day, unable to get anything productive done. I saved so much precious time deleting and deactivating most of my social accounts, I keep RU-vid for videos like yours but that’s about it at this point. Thank you again for sharing this, I really needed to hear this word!

Could you do an episode about how to overcome fear with god? I’ve been struggling a lot with fear, people I work with have been making jokes about kidnapping me and it’s been going on for a while, these people scare me. I live with roommates but I’m tempted to just move back in with my mom. I can’t sleep at night because I want to be awake if they were to try to break in. And the reason I’m scared is because they’ve said on multiple occasions that what they TRULY want is to know the feeling of murdering someone. It’s gotten to a point where I actually have thought about shooting them, they stare at me like predators, they have no belief in god and it’s been crippling me to where I don’t even sleep I just lay in my bed listening. Genuinely terrified to my CORE, and I constantly feel like death is around the corner. There’s a lot of things I’ve been fearing of recently and would like to hear what you’ve gotta say about fear.

I really appreciate this word BROTHER!! It is very simple but I have been guilty of wasting so much time!! I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in 2020... I have lost most of my vision and for a while I was unable to walk or use my hands.. since they figured out exactly what was going on I regained the ability to walk and use my hands praise the Lord! But my vision is low so I can't drive and it has isolated me so much... I have not been using my time wisely at all. But I really needed to hear this!! Thank you and God bless you ❤

I've never watched your videos, in fact I rarely use RU-vid. I was doing my homework which required me to watch a RU-vid video, and when I was done I decided to just look at my feed, and lo and behold, this video. Truly from God. I have some medical and mental health issues that make me extremely tired and they are something I will deal with for the rest of my life. It's led me to laziness. Sometimes I have no desire to do anything, but seeing this video really changed my perspective on things. I'm asking God to protect me, and give me more time in life, but here I am not appreciating it by using it to my best ability... I truly needed this video, so thank you.

Thank you for this video. First video to pop up on my home page. I’ve been living in fear about moving forward in my life but I cant ignore Gods word to me to keep going. Lately all I can hear is it’s time to move out of my moms houses. Im grateful she let me stay for so long but I personally can’t grow/mature to my fullest extent by living here.
