I am a giant NBA fan, so I actually loved this episode. I know the basketball talk might frustrate other viewers, but RJ is one of the best people on ESPN right now. He's always been the sarcastic funny man there, but it's interesting to see his admiration for the stand up world and stories. I just wish he'd ease up on my Celtics once in a while 🤣
This is by far one of the best twist and turn of an ep that we could get. Sports and comedy. Analyst and analyst. Just beautiful. Thank you mark and sam. You might think this was a stretch, well it is but it isn’t at the same time. Jesus Christ
Yea that was awkward. Mark played it off cool though, just took a glass and made him pure lol. Then Sam saying i want some more, like let’s finish the bottle was also gold.
I listened to the pod so I didn't see it. Wonder if that's just the etiquette in his social circles of rich and famous where people tend to be particular - everyone just brings their own. So he fell into autopilot when talking and buzzed.
Not going to lie, I thought I wasn't going to like this episode... Turns out one of my favorites, not a basketball fan but now I'm a fan of this dude... He isn't a BS dude, not like many who guests and claim to be a fan of comedy this due really is one... Quotes bits, knows history!!! I love it, real dude!!!

I don't think there's a way we can love mark more. he's great even totally out of his element. Mark clearly "pushed throught the tism" and now has the BEST convo reactions.
I’m a big fan and regular consumer of this show. I enjoy all the episodes; guest(s) or no guest(s). I found this episode particularly interesting and entertaining because of Richard’s sports stories and I hope y’all can continue to have some cool professional athletes on the show in the future. Ima former college basketball player, played a bit in Mexico too. I can relate to this pod so much. Lol it felt like I was back in college just shootin’ the shit with my roommates who didn’t play sports lol this was easily my favorite episode for you guys!

What a fucking trip. I have never heard of this man and after this I feel camaraderie with him. I respect SO MUCH how he has such a positive attitude towards learning and humor and stays humble the whole time.

This turned out to be a better hang than I anticipated. At first it seemed like you were all a bit timid around each other, but once the juice got poured you boys got comfortable and the convo was pretty entertaining. This might be my first time experiencing Richard Jefferson. Seems like a good dude.
1st time hearing RJ talk in long form, I'm very surprised of how articulated and aware he is and just a great communicator. Not to mention fucking cool down to earth guy.

33 year old cavs fan here. Grew up watching RJ on the nets dunking over everyone. My pops goes by RJ. Dude came here to Cleveland and helped keep our team together in the locker room. Had some absolutely amazing highlights in his few years here. Dude is so good at his current job. And just such a fucking cool guy. Awesome guest LIL KEV FOREVER
One of the all time best eps for me personally the comedy/Basketball cross over is awesome and as a Spurs fan getting a Timmy story was an unexpected great surprise. RJs time with the spurs wasn’t the best but as a kid I loved him throwing down some sick dunks for anyone that doesn’t know about ball RJ was an athletic FREAK go watch his highlights he was a monster with the Nets 🔥

I haven’t liked Richard Jefferson as an NBA personality for the longest time, but the more I see him with JJ and on stuff like this the more I understand his perspective and appreciate his sarcasm. Great episode and you’ve got another subscriber.
My fav podcast out there, love getting drunk with yall, and as a standup comedian, hearing the inside baseball of the industry or just funny stories always is a blast! Comedy!
As someone who generally does not care for RJ, this was pretty cool as a hoops and comedy fan. And Mark pretending to know what was going on was priceless.
