Great discussion. Hapo kwa rental return you need to consider that rent doesn't stay the same for 30 years, it rises over time. Even now at Nhc rent is not 30k anymore. Halafu the original buyers bought at 7M, not 12M, hiyo 12 ni bro ya sahii. But most importantly, the thing about owning is how secure it makes you feel vs renting, it's not really about a rational investment desciscion . I used to be on team renting for life then I switched to own and I can never go back to renting. It feels so damn good not having to ever worry about rent every end month.
