Hi Tracy, can you suggest a pencil brand and color that I could use instead of Arrtx van dyke brown? I seem to have misplaced mine and don’t want to buy a whole new set just for that one pencil. I was thinking prismas would be similar to Arrtx. I also have polychromos. I am terrible with comparing colors and finding dupes and I really wanted to follow your tutorial as closely as possible so now I am kicking myself for having lost my van dyke brown! I know you are busy but I thought you might have a suggestion that came to mind since you do such in depth reviews of your pencil sets. No worries if you’re too busy.

I am not near my pencils to compare for the best match. My Colourful Country Life has a lovely comparison chart. Polychromos FC177 Walnut Brown or Prismacolor PC1077 Espresso are a match. I will test them in the am and will post which I think is closest. So glad you are coloring with me!

I completely understand if you don’t have time to compare the colors yourself - I greatly appreciate the suggestions you named! Thank goodness I made a swatch chart so I at least have a swatch to compare!
