This week's episode of the log cabin build includes a little bit of everything! Basically all of the work between the woodstove install, the moose kill, and today had to be documented somewhere!
We're getting so close to being able to move in. We are also prioritizing outside work while it is nice outside, even though it doesn't always work us towards moving into the cabin itself. Patience is a virtue!
Up next we should be sharing some solar with you all as well as a firewood shed! Flooring, a kitchen, and a bedroom are also coming soon!

Don't get me wrong, Becca, you were right there doing your share of work plus taking care of the baby and other chores. Henry is such a beautiful boy. (In two days i watched your videos from before you got pregnant untl this video. I have been racking my brain where I have heard your voice before Becca. My husband came downstairs and said are you talking to Leslie (our daughter in law)? We discovered your channel last Monday,9/23/2024. Today is Wednesday 9/25/2024. I went back to when y’all were moving up to Alaska. Now I’m up to episode where the wood stove is getting installed. You could put the outlets at the 2nd or 3rd log up chisel, you box hole, then go under the house drill up to that hole for the wiring , that will hide all the outlet wires in the walls and under the house,

Great progress as always!! There are vinyl 13:48 products that you can use to cover exposed wires on the walls. It comes in different colors and sizes to fit the wire thichness.

Watching your salmon fishing video,s and seeing Levi filet. We use an ice cream scoop and scrape the excess meat off the carcas after fileted. Great for soup.

Everything is coming along great. Going over budget is a given, ten to fifteen percent is pretty normal and I've seen people go over thirty percent. For most people it's a once in a lifetime thing so do all the upgrades you can afford because it's the home where you plan to spend the rest of your life. Levi that is one fine looking outhouse! You folks take care and be safe.

I so enjoy your videos. A lot of work done but not haphazard. Carrying that beautiful youngster on your back while working has got to be hard to do but oh what a strong back! Your cabin is coming along great , the view across the lake is so beautiful it brings me back to my uncles place on the lake he once lived, wake up every morning and that's the first thing you see, your husband and his dad are doing a fantastic job and the outhouse never seen a door with glass in it , it should bring in some light on those sunny days and it matches the cabin, thank you for sharing your build and all the hard work that y'all are doing and your little crumb snatcher ( baby ) he's a riot always a camera bug. Between Levi's Daddy and you two, there is nothing you all cant do! I think the decks, or porches are a must in the winter, it makes such a difference when going into your house, and a great place to sit back and relax on. Congratulations on a job well done.
