That PPG primer is good stuff, but impossible to weld near. I prefer Wattyl Epinamel PR250, its far easier to weld near or even weld through.

I want the shirt you're wearing in this 😂 why is it not on the website? Also, loving the G60 build! Kinda motivates me to revisit my 160 (MK) shorty build... only been in the shed for 9 years 😅

Interesting table (I’m guessing) leaning against the back wall of your “paint booth” 👍🏼

@SIDETRACKED Happy New Year.. loving the build series.. what is the name of the rust remover you mentioned ? Also is there a reason you didnt spot weld the brace on the back wall first before applying the rust remover and then paint it ?

Thanks mate. That is Anti Ox from Oxy Tech. Yep, fair question. I wanted every surface with at least one coat of primer. With the brace attached i wouldn't be able to get behind the top hat sections. When I'm ready to install the brace I'll buff back the primer where the spot welds will go then weld through primer those spots and then attach the brace to the back wall. Finally when that is one piece, I'll tidy up the spot welds and coat again. Long process but I believe it's the best way.
