Dr.Sunil Sathe one of the renowned international cardiologist from Pune also spoke about spiritual aspect on outcome of patients after the cardiac surgery.. It's always in the hands of unknown super power..You can call it as GOD
Hats off Doctor Shetty. Made my eyes drenched with happy tears with your so positive attitude to Indian emotion. Made me very happy to hear you, though me a US citizen. Long live dear doctor
Thank you Smita Prakash for holding this conversation. Concerns are large and knowledge builds up through these conversations. Thank you Dr. Devi Shetty, you are a true role model.
Very experienced and an insightful man🙏!! A true visionary who has dwelt with all kinds of problems in India and is working actively on solutions👍!!! Very informative interview!!
Fantastic subject and great interview... Doc it's not only with the medical education it's also in engineering. Our education is not industry oriented. And with the speed of the growth we are much behind the required mark. You are absolutely right.
He explains meticulously and convincing way. Well explained that even a layman can understand, smiling face, extremely convincing way that patients who come to visit him will go home convinced and happy ..❤
Your next podcast should be with the health minister. Ask him the solution of manpower, nursing colleges, etc. Maybe call this doctor too. Great show as usual!
@@Mrmaertit's the same reason why someone chooses to be a teacher instead of a high paying job. Nursing can be an attractive career if it is packaged well. Let's not forget that our country is amongst the largest exporters of nurses abroad.
Fantastic podcast with Dr. Devi Shetty, I have shared this with all my groups, so that people can enter medical profession in what ever echelon or line of profession.
Excellent episode and huge respect for Dr. Devi Shetty, such noble people are making a silent difference to India's healthcare sector. Only one suggestion to ANI, the title of the episode does not do justice given the wide span of topics covered.. This is an excellent insider view on the healthcare sector in India.
Dr. Shetty my father is a farmer and we have just 3 acre of land, if you and yout party wants to buy it then our village be recognised more. Its in kanabargi, belgaum city karnataka. KLE hospital in belgaum is very famous . Many kids in and around this village will be encouraged to be a nurses, thank you
He is a role model to me..and i am sure he will be a role model to each and every young people who will come to know about this person.such a visionary person he is. Whichever field one belongs to ,i am sure,he will learn many things from this doctor. He is a gem. He is INDIA
Smitha, tq for this podcast.Ive ref patients to Dr D.Shetty's hospital often the care is very good . As a health care person, id suggest better salaries for nursing staff and education allowances for their children. That's something which has to addressed so that our nurses dont look for jobs overseas. Well,as a doctor i hear their stories ...top on the list is, mostly, pts being disrespectful towards them and poor salary scales
One of the best podcasts, smita ma'am, I love this man from the bottom of my heart, he so soft spoken, thank you ma'am for bringing him in your podcast
An excellent and informative podcast, Smita! Dr. Devi Shetty has outlined the challenges as well as the opportunities for significant improvements in the medical/hospital/insurance sector and structure with clarity. I sincerely hope that the corrupt and greedy powers that be become more humane abd caring in their outlook.
Eye opener of an episode. Most people who not have the slightest idea about the challenges an sector faces. Especially health care. Miles to go for the government in getting this right.
It's an wonderful expression for practical solutions to the present problems of health care in our country, by an eminent, visionary, outspoken Doctor. I am so impressed by the valuable thoughts of Dr. Devi Shetty garu. His valuable expertise and knowledge needs to be utilized by the Government ,for improving our Healthcare sector
As it is Health Insurance Premium is high as the age advances and added to that even Health Insurance premium is not exempt from GST. Patients without health insurance coverage may not be able to take treatment from the private & corporate hospitals due to the cost of treatment mostly unaffordable.
Each time I visit a hospital OPD for even very normal conditions, the complete bill exceeds 5000rs each time! And I really don't understand how. That's the condition of India's healthcare in a nutshell. So, I don't see how wealth and healthcare in our country is not going to be related! Much respect for Dr.Shetty though.
The governments should hear to such selfless persons to scale up the health care which in turn helps each individual of the society, specially the lower and middle class who might burn their pockets during emergency or critical illness. The Insurance concept he brought up is fantastic and directly benefits the society. Thanks smitaji for the wonderful interview and its always ❤y to hear Dr. Devishetty's words of wisdom and love .
Smitaji, a wonderful episode. Please share this episode with Modi Ji or at least solid main points to overcome treatment cost, increasing health care staff, etc.
Hi Smita, you hosted lots of health related podcasts and those have real value for listeners. When are you taking care of your own health? Please do something about that as well. Best wishes. :)
During Corona time - Dr Shetty made it a point to address people on the TV how to take care of themselves and warned the government to have the lockdown immediately- otherwise many people would have died.He is very caring and a compassionate person
He is the one who reminds us to believe the existence of God. We are not blessed enough to see the God in Kaliyuga, but definitely Doctors like Devi Shetty are real visible god. My heartfelt Namaskarams to him.
Nice podcast. We need more doctors like Dr. Shetty. It’s sad but health care sucks be it India or US. The system is flawed because of bureaucracy and government stipulations. Hope one day there is a robust health system where the patient can get cured without stressing whether they will be able to afford the treatment.
Smita Prakash ji, please give a raise to whoever that comes up with the beautiful saree choices and your wonderful hair do and make up in your podcasts. You look lovely in the yellow saree.
The point of ponder is what is the appropriate standards of blood pressure or diabetic. These days some people regard a sugar level of 130 as diabetic or nearly diabetic. Some years ago it was 200 to250. The fact is the people have high blood sugar due to avoidance of sun rays and free air and also due to the fact that people go to sleep immediately after lunch or dinner. It makes pancreas dysfunctional thereby harming insulin secreation which is essential for opening of blood cells for burning of sugar in the blood and convert it to energy. Therefore, people must learn to rise before sun-rise, avoid sugar foods , and sleep after launch or dinner. At leat two-hour gap is required after meals before sleep.
Will your Insurance scheme be available at all your hospitals away from Banglore? Will your preventive health check up be available at your hospitals at other places in future
Very true , Karnataka government should definitely be made aware of this above conversation .. all big hospital s should be given permission to open nursing college..its a win win situations for Karnataka resident.. big employment opportunity and also growth in lower income group citizens. Put clause 35 % seats for rural backward lower income group people.
Nursing profession is noble and those interested in this has to be trained free of cost after 10 th class epecially in rural areas and work in Govt.hospitals nearby their villages till they get trained .GOI and state Govts have to encourage in this sector to address shortage of nurses in this country and be ready to handle another Covid situation in near future.
