I just wanted to say that Josh happened to be there for Abbie and helped her quit drinking was such a blessing. You never know how it could have ended up if he wasn’t there that time. Also, Abby is amazing that she actually was able to get rid of the addiction, it takes a lot of will power to do so👏. Good for both of you!

Thank you for being open about this💗I grew up very very hard with an extremely violent abusive alcoholic parent and I can happily say, by Gods grace he’s been a changed sober man for over 15 years now but I know first hand what alcohol can do for certain individuals and it’s absolute poison to some. Congratulations, Abby on your sobriety and mindset being over alcohol. I genuinely love you guys, y’all are such a Ray of sunshine for healthy couples

thank you so much for opening up about your past Abbie. I'm a year sober and this was extremely inspirational to me and at the perfect time because I've been wanting to drink again but this stopped me. You have helped me so much and I love you and I only hope to be able to meet you one day.

Such an inspiring episode! Ever since having my daughter I have truly thought of cutting out all alcohol. My parents did when they had me and my siblings and I still appreciate having never seen them drunk. Also not sure if anyone else feels this way, but my parents were very similar in having us work when we turned 15, didn’t have money to give us cars, couldn’t fully pay for college. And honestly I think when my children are older I will have them work in high school and pay for their car and insurance. It really taught me time and money management. I had so many friends in college who couldn’t manage school and social life or had to call their parents every week for more money. It made me thankful I had the skills to manage my time and I was waaay more appreciative of my money since I earned it.

I have a new respect for you because you're very honest especially with your drinking and what you went through. I went through a similar situation drinking from a small town. And yes I can say it takes you in a very bad place of sadness. Yes, wanting someone to love me has pulled me down to where I don't trust anyone and still don't want to be with anyone. Most people just used me all my life. I can relate with you in so many ways. I don't know if I would've been that brave to put it all out there like you have done. At least you found a good man like Josh and he has helped you in so many ways! I'm so glad you shared your life with me and everyone else. I'm still in that spot stuck and unhappy. The only thing that makes me happy is my two daughters! The last guy I dated tore my heart out and stomped on it! This is where I'm at today! I've shut myself out from where I don't have any friends either. Something has got to change. I feel like well I'm in my 50s now so I feel like my life has not changed like it's too late.

Listening to the drinking stories brought up some memories for me. Lucky for you, you learned this early on! I was a goodie two shoes and started drinking one month before my 21st! I had problems with alcohol thru my 20’s and 30’s. Finally gave it up in the 40’s! Apparently I’m a slow learner. But so glad you learned so quickly and early in life!

Abbie's story with alcohol is SO similar to mine. I have had the same issues with alcohol and I was also afraid it would end up ruining my relationship. For me I did have a problem with blacking out and then I would end up getting upset over things easily and cry easily which I wouldn't do in my normal state. I do tend to be more emotional and sensitive, that's my nature and of course alcohol just amplifies any type of negative emotions you have. I also have recently tried to just have a drink or two but it doesn't do anything for me either I feel like there's no point and it's not even worth it. I would rather drink enough to actually feel something from it but then that comes with the risk of potentially experiencing all of the negative sides of alcohol and I could easily get back to square one. So besides my behavior and blacking out, alcohol has also adversely affected my life in many other ways too such as my health. So I have gotten to the point where I most likely am going to be sober long term. I am a person that just doesn't do well with alcohol like Abbie.

Kind of funny, but I feel like our lives have crossed in ways, as I went to Brooke High School and was signed by Docherty Agency as well, and my agent was Ryan Nolte. I was miss wv teen USA and am from Weirton. Kind of a funny story, but i went to Bob evans in Steubenville OH about 5 years ago, and the hostess there said “ you remind me of Abbie, a girl who used to work here she is a big model now”. At the time, I didn’t think anything of it, then I listen to this and think that was you she was talking about lol! Small world! Completely enjoyed this 🙂

I have tethered cord as well and over 10+ serious medical conditions and have had over 60 surgeries including major major brain surgeries and tethered cord surgeries to un tether my spinal cord in multiple places. I have so many complications with all of my surgeries and have flat-lined too many times to count. I am also a triplet born 3 months premature. I only weighed 2 pounds and barely made it, and over time I started getting really sick. I eventually needed a feeding tube and went almost everywhere to try to get diagnosed. I kept getting more and more sick and complex over time and couldn't get diagnosed. I turned to my passion for the flying trapeze and performed professionally, but I was rapidly getting worse to the point where I was bed ridden and in the Hospital, desperate for a diagnosis. I eventually got diagnosed in 2018 with most of my medical conditions which was devastating (and still is). I had to give up everything from how much pain I've been in most of my life. I needed to get emergency brain surgeries and barely made it, and I've had irreversible complications that are still effecting me. I woke up intubated during 4 of my major surgeries and felt everything. At this point, all of my drs have told me to enjoy every day because my conditions will continue to get worse over time. I decided to start my RU-vid channel to share my story with my supporters and try to make the best of every day. I am hoping I will be able to inspire others through my channel, and since I am always in pain, I have enjoyed creating beauty content to make myself feel better on the outside. Since I've had to give up the flying trapeze and a "normal" life, I enjoy doing beauty videos bc that's the only part of performing I can still do. It would mean so much to me to continue sharing my story and inspiring others through my channel and website ( www.haileymaebeauty.com ) I will have new content weekly on all socials and I hope this comment helps others to join along and be a part of my journey! PS: this comment is to gain awareness and help/inspire others by sharing my one in.a million survival journey. To anyone who sees this, I know life can feel impossible sometimes and everyone has their own battles, but I promise things will get better in the long run. I shouldn't be alive right now from everything I've endured and been through with major medical conditions and complications, but everyone is here for a reason and I truly hope this reaches people who need to hear it and need some encouragement!
