Ugh this episode irritated me. Blame Jason! NO ONE is talking about what a scumbag he was to lead Jessica on, then ditch her for Alex then cheat on Alex with Jessica. Let’s blame the woman. Was it cool for Jessica to do that? No of course not but I feel like Kristin was SUPER harsh to her so called best friend while saying nothing about Jason.

Kristin has come on here MULTIPLE times and said “why are we blaming the girls, we never blame the guy!” Yet her friend Jason gets praise for just wanting to hang out with his friends and Alex gets praise for going straight to the person to ask them. Let’s not forget that Steven crucifies himself for calling Kristin a slut in Cabo. But yeah lets talk about how Alex was just very upset. Lol

At that point Kristin was like do whatever u want Idc. I would do the same. And to add to that Jessica did the same when Lauren was was with Jason. But The one Alex really should have insulted and put all that energy to was Jason.

Why are we pretending that Alex was not trying to steal Jason while he was with Jessica. She kind of forfeited her right to be mad by doing what she did. And a true friend would have Jessica's back during that trip no matter what. It was just really awkward and annoying to watch her being so isolated by you guys as her friends you could have made the situation easier for her, and even more off that it was not addressed on the podcast. You're usually quite honest and good at admitting when your behaviour was off but this was not acknowledged how mean it was.

Right!! When I rewatched it, this was the #1 thing that bothered me the most and I was so looking forward to them addressing it. When Kristin said she made one huge mistake on 2nd season, I thought this was the mistake!! I’m so disappointed to see it’s getting ignored and blamed on Jessica.. I’ve given every other episode an A.. but this one? F Feels like high school Kristin is in it

Even though I totally agree that Jason & Jessica shouldn't have been together in the first place. I don't think Jessica owed Alex any loyalty on that because as soon as she and Jason stopped dating Alex wasted no time. Alex also told Jessica at the bonfire that she wouldn't be all over Jason out of respect for her, but as soon as he got there she did the total opposite.

That was Jessica’s boyfriend FIRST!! Why was no one defending Jessica about that? Even on the podcast it wasn’t addressed… yes Alex had a right to be mad but I feel like she got what was coming to her. You were flirting with him BEFORE he broke up with Jessica, Jason wasn’t boyfriend material anyway. Jessica shldve just squashed it with Alex the first day in Cabo and enjoyed her last spring break, side note Emily was a real friend to her for defending her at the club.

IDK, there's a HUGE difference between flirting with someone and hooking up/sleeping with someone. Just b/c Jessica dated him first doesn't give her a free pass to hook up with him when he's in relationships with his next two girlfriends. Kristin really grew on me until these last two episodes. Too harsh on Jessica, not harsh enough on Alex & not owning up to her mean girl attitude toward Jess in Cabo gave me the ick I hope Jessica goes in there with confidence & doesn’t let her bully her into saying she was in the wrong over all this. She was in the right. Her lack of confidence was annoying and obsession with Jason was annoying, but that’s it. Kristin just likes Alex’s strong personality and Jessica got on her nerves. Doesn’t change the fact that both of them did her dirty in different ways. I wish Kristin would own that.

I completely agree. I don't agree w/ Jessica hooking up with Jason once he was with Alex, and then with Lauren, BUT Kristin and Stephen both acted similarly, Kristin even brags about cheating in one episode, I feel like they're too harsh on Jessica, even though I disagree w/Jessica's actions.

True she shouldn't have done anything with Jason knowing he was with Alex but geez Alex may have not done anything with Jason while he and Jess were together but she was pursing him while they were together and that is the same thing. So just like Alex didn't respect there relationship why did Jess owe Alex that respect? Alex is cool and all but to play innocent, no. This is ridiculous to me that you guys are not defending Jessica…I understand the frustration with her for putting up with how Jason treated her, I never would have allowed a guy to treat me like that and I can see being kind of over the drama and over giving the advice etc, but I don’t see how you can judge her hooking up with Jason on account of Alex! If someone I was kind of friends with was flirting with my high school boyfriend (who treated me great) and then jumped into a relationship with him right after we broke up, or at all really, I would not have had any respect for their “relationship”…Kristin even you admitted at the time that even being over Steven you would have flipped if any of your friends tried to date him! I love how nobody in the comments buys into this c*ap they're talking the the podcast, like, Jessica doesn't owe anything to anyone not to Jason anc certainly and especially not to Alex. Petty Stephen is deconstructing some timeline and events around Jessica there but he was that person in the S1. Left by Kristin trying to get back with her whenever he could, like Jess does, but he's also trying to stay cool and keep his "player" game among the social circle there by leading on LC. And dude never owns any of that throughout the podcast. Kristin at least flashes her deep self reflect which is kinda amazing, but also quickly rolls back to the teenage hype and the person she played out to be... like, just don't. Leave that be. Hot Sam was more of a construct than a thing, built by her for whatever reason... 🤷🏻

Ok I was pissed at first but I just realized -Stephen HAD to defend Alex because of this own drunken flip out on Kristin in season 1 Cabo episode. If he had taken Jessica’s side, he’d look pretty hypocritical and people would call him misogynistic. Deep down he may feel Alex went too hard on Jessica. Kristin is disappointing me though. Of all HER mistakes, she judged her “best friend” Jessica incredibly harshly and was not there for Jessica whatsoever. Very lame.

Too much focus was on how Alex felt and reacted. Jessica was wrong, but I didn’t feel all that bad for Alex. She didn’t get called out enough for actively pursuing Jason while he and Jessica were together. Of course Jason and Jessica hooked up again, they broke up like 2 seconds before his new relationship. Obviously some feelings were still there. You can tell all of this was close in timeline too. Kristin is closer to Alex M than Jessica these days and it shows. Stephen was seeing things from Jessica’s perspective until Kristin wanted to play police last episode so now he’s vouching for Alex’s feelings.

I have to say the teenager inside of me can absolutely relate to Jessica. When you're young and insecure and a relationship ends that you didn't necessarily want to that is hard to get over and I can see it being easy to give in to that person for a couple of reasons. One you're still not over it and you still have feelings for that person but also you want to feel like they still want you also so even if they have a new girlfriend I can see still wanting validation from that person. As a teenager you aren't super rational about these things. Even as adults it's hard to be rational when your heart is broken

Alex acted like only Jessica was wrong as if it doesn't take two to tango. Jason was your boyfriend. Where is his accountability in all of this? Emily is such a good friend and good person 😁 I love how she had Jessica’s back. Kristin and Alex H hanging with Alex and Taylor instead of Jessica and icing her out seemed shady. Stephen saying that him, Kristin, and Sam could hang out. He and Sam can skim. Kristin can flirt with them both. And at the end of the night Kristin can go off with Sam is hilarious 😂😂😂 Jessica and Jason just can’t leave each other alone at this point. Pro’ly because they were friends first. But Alex, who I do like, had to realize that in some instances you lose him how you get him… and all their pre-relationship flirting while he was with Jessica blew up in her face- and she and Jason got together too soon after him leaving Jessica. Alex and Jason did not seem like a fit. It’s why I can’t really take anything that Stephen says seriously or as a measure of honesty. He says everything he did on camera was manufactured and handed to him by MTV, even his jealousy and awkward insecure moments as a teen. Honestly Stephen, you were a teenager and had your bad moments. Just accept responsibility for the BS you pulled and own your part in what you did 😂

Sometimes Jason was physically in a scene...but I think his soul was floating outside of his body; prolly on a San Diego beach somewhere playing volleyball with Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer, and Rick Rossovich. I am re-watching LB currently, and both Jessica and Alex were wrong. Jessica shouldn't have hooked up with him. However I don't get why people are acting like Alex wasn't wrong for being all up in Jason's face flirting while he was with Jessica. Alex's karma was her trying to be the "cool" nonchalant one only to end up in Jessica's shoes. They also both displayed big pick me energy but in different ways. I hope they are both now happy, secure, & doing well.

I never felt bad for Alex. She definitely flirted with Jason while he was with Jessica and had no problem dating him as soon as they broke up. If I was Jessica she would’ve gotten swung on if anything.

It’s funny I’m rewatching season 2 episode 1 and we are introduced to Jessica and Jason as a couple and Cedric brings up Casey saying something along the lines that Alex wouldn’t mind being hook up buddies lmfao and Jason says he heard she’s kinky 😂

I admire Kristin's inner strength. She has clearly done the work. Every week, she gets her past thrown in her face and Stephen never ceases to remind her of how she treated him and how he felt. She never shies away from taking accountability. But it does have to get old.

Fully agree. Love her for still being this head strong. Fully owning & apologising for her mistakes and calling herself out on it. I'm bored by Stephen..he's more like a "host" & less like Kristin = a cast member that has actually reflected and done the work.

Eh, I love Kristin but definitely don't think she has taken accountability for how she treated Stephen. She brags about cheating on Stephen on camera, but then on the podcast she acts like she never did. She admits she was terrible in general but never really apologizes or admit to the things she did, just that she "was awful/terrible". Stephen has to remind her about it. I'm sorry but that would be SO annoying/hurtful to have your first love act like they don't remember cheating on you multiple times, especially since she bragged about it to Alex and Jessica. If I were doing a podcast with an ex bf who cheated on me, and he constantly denied it, I'd call him out too. Also, they ARE talking about a reality show they were on together so of course it's going to come up multiple times since they're still both hanging out on season 2.
