The dog had an internal experience and awareness before learning to communicate with humans. We are just beginning to hear a fraction of it thanks to these buttons. The dog has a deep journey all their own.
Part of the reason we believe religion is biological. Our brains adapted it as a way to cope with consciousness until we could fill it with something later.
Yep. That’s what I’ve been thinking about lately. Everyone is on automatic mode. Won’t stop to breathe. We are self aware about our eventual death, yet, almost all population isn’t self aware of their own existence.
Reminds me of the story of Adam and Eve and the whole knowledge of good and evil. Your only hope would be to enlighten other dogs and ruin their life, or go through life as a sad self aware dog.
Like koko the gorilla. She learned sign language and learned more than a thousand words. She was monitered and supervised by a female biologist. They became best friend. One day she told the biologist that she wanted to be a mom. All of her previous baby where captured or dead. So she gave her a small kitten. Her mother instinct was phenomenal. RIP KOKO Koko was self-aware to !!!!!

Those buttons got started by a lady who was an expert in child language development who realized dogs were at the phase right before actually speaking. She knew it was because their mouth doesn’t let them make those sounds, so she did the buttons and found the dogs could learn to speak that way.
@@setme4ree dogs don't have the language comprehension ability to string thoughts together. they press buttons with a vague idea of what they're even doing and then we do all of the work interpreting it.
@@benjaminqmorrisreally? I have 11 words for my chihuahua, and she uses them very proficiently. It’s never random, and it always makes sense. Some of the things she says are “want play outside mommy” “Ena want play love you “ “want play outside later” “want treat daddy” “Ena want play outside yes mommy” just to name a few. Or, if she asks for a treat, I will say “no” and she challenges me, “yes”, and when I finally say no, she sometimes says “mommy no” or “later”, and yes, she knows the concept of later. You can never in a million years tell me dogs don’t understand language and can’t put thoughts together. And for the record, I didn’t teach my dog these buttons, once she learned how to press them, I programmed them, put them down, and she figured it out. At first she pressed them to see what word it was, then she knew that button was this word. She figured all that out herself. I mix up the order on her to make her look for the buttons and she gets it right every time.
@@Blablabla44475it's the same concept of how dogs understand commands but they do not know how to actively think to process words into sentences and to communicate verbally they just understand some words do some things when they react to them, it's been proven over and over that those buttons are NOT allowing dogs to actually communicate their thoughts and feelings to us.

In the book of Jubilees which was omitted from the Bible but still remains in some sects, the serpent spoke to Eve. It's also said that before Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge that all the beast and animals including Adam and Eve all spoke with one tongue and only after they ate from the tree did God shut up the beasts and sent Adam Eve and the animals out into the world into their respective habitats outside of the Garden. The dogs very well are fully self aware!
@@egierhethjer How do you know for sure?!! Need more buttons for them to explain! How about "Want" "Snow" "Run" "Work" ???!!! Gawd, it could all go so wrong...and we find out that ALL of our animal friends are depressed and feel trapped 😱
@staingwapo Is that your first explanation for this phenomena? We tend to humanize pets because we want then to be more human, and teaching a dog a human language is humanizing them a lot, so for their brain they think being human is good and being an animal is bad. This is unfortunate because we are also animals, not superior in any means (with the exception of intelligence and abstract thinking) to any other vertebrate.
Animals understand languages, whichever one u speak to them in, how do u think they kno "go sit" "go lie down" "no" "stop" etc....@franciscoborrashidalgo7776
My dog learned those buttons very quickly, by 4months she knew; outside, potty, walk, mom(attention), train, and playtime. The first time I didn't let her outside immediately, I said no outside. She stared me down and hit it 3 more times.
Tbh at first I thought this was cool but now it’s starting to seem annoying., now another being that you have to try to reason with and explain yourself to ….
It is said that language unlocks the mind. Even Helen Keller said so. For the longest time she couldn’t comprehend reality until she learned a language
There is a case of a young feral girl from soviet Russia that shows this extremely well. It is fascinating, she lived with livestock for the formative years of her life.
Dogs are so much more intelligent than people think. They analyze us and learn to understand functionalities of a human system and society without anyone needing to tell them. I had a shepherd from puppy to she died of age, in those 12 years I barely ever trained her, she was loyal and well behaved to the bone. I told her things a few times and she would get it. It was so effortless to do anything with her, that I would almost forget she was my dog and not the other way around. I could stroll around in peak traffic hours in a city and watch a video with headphones, completely emerged in it. She would stopped me if it was a red light and she would always seek eye contact with the drivers before crossing to make sure the drivers saw us. And she wasn´t trained to do any of that. She just understood traffic safety and that humans control the vehicle without anyone teaching her that. She understood humans so well, she would follow me everywhere and she learned how to interact in with humans in our way. Considering how difficult that is even for humans, dogs are damn good at adapting and learning! She would also teach other dogs to do the same so. Later I walked around with 12 shepherds, and people would think I am some type of dog genie. While it was really just my one loyal dog who was the pack leader and the rest just naturally followed. Dog training on easy mode.
She needs a button for that dog that says “best friend” or “important” or “family” or “special” or “unique” or “loved” and then she can tell the dog that he’s those things. That dog needs to know it’s loved.

@@adamnasir2 You are correct and incorrect kinda. Yeah it has to know what the word means to use it in correct situations, it doesn't have to know the definition tho. We all as children didnt learn all of the words from our parents telling us "*That* means that and that", we learned also by observing them use the words and trying to understand what their meaning. Also i heard somewhere that the smartest doggos have a mental capacity of a 3-4 years old (not confirmed info, but it would check out) so learning the meaning of words would not be an impossible task.
Bunny is actually a very happy dog Thanks to the buttons. She does not say “help I’m stuck in a dog body” she says “mom play with me” and then wags her tail.
Honestly that makes sense, hears my thought, (it might not make sense lol) people have been breeding dogs for hundreds of years to be workers, pets, caretakers etc. so it makes sense that dogs could be a lot smarter then we think, we never give them a chance or teach them we just keep them dumbed down and maybe it’s so we can stay superior or we just never thought to maybe treat them like a toddler and kinda teach them to how to do things, we never give them a chance, hmmm maybe I’m going too far lol anyways that’s my thought
My cat has the buttons. Her understanding floors me. She understands the word outside and the concept of go. She will press "outside, go" and then wait for me to take her for a walk. She loves it. She also understands "love you".

Bunny was stressed and quite reactive. The buttons are a way for her to blow steam and communicate I guess. She understands that otter (the other dog) is an animal and that type of animal is a dog, but she doesn’t understand that she’s a dog. When you are limited in communication, it's a recipe for anxiety and major depression. Bunny the dog might have not been able to express her self awareness had it not been for these buttons, but that doesn't mean that she would not have reached this point without being able to express these concepts anyways. I'm certainly not mute, but sometimes I go nonverbal and need to be left alone. If I were limited to expressing plain emotion and a family or friend kept trying to talk to me, my options would be pretty much limited to shoving them out of the room and locking myself in, and there's no way to reassure them that it's going to be okay or express my needs, and that causes them and me extra stress. This has happened before lmao and it is hell since the normal response is concern and trying to get me to return to normal behavior when I'm already stressed out by socialization and trying to avoid having a meltdown
I've been saying this for years. Animals are far more intelligent than we give them credit for. If you live with another more cognitive sentient being for as long as dogs have, you're bound to learn how to emulate that level of cognition. At least, that's my stoner theory.
Just because a creature is sentient doesn’t mean the creature is a human trapped in another form. It just means the creature is sentient in its own unique way. The dog probably hates not being able to live in a world that has been shaped exclusively for humans by humans
Fun fact about Bunny is that she was depressed and anxious before they got her the buttons. They felt that the buttons may help her communicate her feelings better, so it’s not surprising that she’s having an existential crisis imo. Billi speaks is an account that shows a cat with buttons. I highly recommend it!!
Many dogs are on anti anxiety medication. Many humans as well. Talking or not. I know this is a content booster for you but it's irresponsible to act like anxiety is abnormal. Dogs and humans have anxiety responses naturally. It's how species survive. At times the responses get a little out of hand and we have medications and behavioral therapy to help. I don't think your intent is malicious, but others might not seek help for their furry family members if they get the impression that anxiety is abnormal. That would be tragic. Food for thought.
If that were true, then they would have made languages hundreds of thousands of years ago. Maybe our own dogs and cats can comprehend those factors but dont asusme all animals can
Giving a dog the means to learn further about itself because of clear communication. I think it increases their intelligence too and allows them to reflect. Some questions are human in nature.
I've always wondered if my pets thought there was something wrong with them cause they don't look like us, like they are human but deformed or some shit

So I had to show one of my brothers I whispered in my brothers ear to say our grandfather's name out loud and watch the reaction of my dog. So he does and my dog jumps up happy wagging his tail runs to my brother kisses him frantically like he did me and my cousin which freaked my brother out he literally had to pick up my dog and stares him in his eyes while my dog stares at him back and my brother looks at me and says SIS I DON'T WANT TO BELIEVE THIS BUT THE ONLY EXPLANATION I CAN GIVE IS THAT THIS IS OUR GRANDFATHER NOW INSIDE A DOG! A dog has the intellect of a small child…therefore it’s not surprising that they can be taught to speak at that level of intellect. Dogs are not stupid. If you spend enough time with them you’ll quickly learn that those eyes speak thousands of words at a time.
The most mind blowing part is when Bunny talked about her dreams. She used limited words available to her and the owner was confused at first but commenters pointed it out. 🤯🤯🤯
Well, the dog is not being forced to press it it’s something that she does on her own when she wants to. At first, I believe she was trained, and every time she pressed it she got a treat but eventually she learned that that was just a way to communicate.

@@regeenabutton2805 Yeah but it's still a nice trick though. I wanted to confirm this for myself. So I looked up the video. The dog just kept pressing random buttons. If they put their dog on drugs, they need to stop doing those drugs. Some people are so stupid.

Maybe consciousness is learned… I mean, maybe a baby can remember flashes of memories or show signs of self awareness, but notice that if the baby isn’t associated with physical contact with another human and communicate, (different varieties of communication) they can actually fail to thrive and eventually die. Humans may just be smart enough (through many generations of our past ancestors figuring the world out FOR us) to establish a system of communication and beneficial physical interactions, unlike any other animal, and might be the reason we have to ABILITY to gain consciousness, just like this dog may have.
But notice it wasn’t able to be self-aware on its own, the human’s knowledge allowed it to physically re-wire its brain, and it’s simply too much for the small dog brain, explaining the major depression
Maybe that’s why she’s able to catch on cuz she straight up is a human in a dog body lol and that’s why she was already trippin before the communication I MEAN YOU NEVER KNOW

The dog 100% understands English and she will invent ways to use the word buttons she has available to describe what she means with the buttons she has available to her. Like when she was describing why her dream made her upset and said she saw a monster but used the button “stranger” and “animal” because she didn’t have the word for monster or anything similar. @Krzysztof Łaguna I did. She doesn't describe anything. The button presses are totally random, except for "who this." Even then, "who" and "this" were extremely close to each other, and right next to the mirror. The dog was just trying to reach the closest buttons. Aside from that one, all the other button presses could be interpreted a million ways. That's the problem with these money-grabbing buttons, they're supposed to be intentionally vague so people can apply their own meaning to the random button presses their pets make. Again, dogs are scientifically incapable of conversation and self-awareness. You can live in this little fantasy world, that's fine. But before you do, do me a favor. I've gone and watch the videos, now you go and read the studies showing that there has never in the history of the world been a dog capable of language or self-awareness.
