Coyotes and Predators, similar to hogs, cause financial stress for many families in rural communities. Coyotes kill livestock, plain and simple. Ranchers have battled coyotes killing cattle since the early days of ranching and it costs them dearly. Cattle ranching is a business, the cows aren't pets, every time they lose a calf to a coyote those families lose a paycheck. Cattle ranchers hate coyotes just as much as Farmers hate hogs! We hunt coyotes to protect the livelihood of our friends and neighbors that depend on their cattle business to feed their family...

Sweet, love the clips from the scope edited in, getting close to calling to order one, top contender is the Halo X35 but it might be just a little too much magnification and marketing has at least sold me.on wanting a red hot option in the color palette

The Halo X35 is 2.5x on paper but in real world use, next to other optics it’s a 2x. I don’t think you’d want less than that. Also, just being 100% honest, no one who hunts much uses anything but white hot and black hot no matter what scope you have. Color pallets sell scopes and you said…it’s marketing.😎 But either way there are a lot of great scopes out there and a bunch have the rest hot pallet if you want to at least have the option. I love my Pulsar XG50 for coyote hunting but the thermal market is getting very competitive in the last 2 years. Very impressive probably be upgrading in next year or 2 if they keep coming out like this lol.

I traded into one of these. I wanted a handheld first with the option to helmet or rifle mount. Initially I wished it were a 1x or 1.5x because I can find them with a wider field of view. But in practice, I appreciate the magnification and don't feel hampered by the field of view. I like the battery life, the size and weight, the warranty, and it's kept and returned to zero with the quick detach mount. Maybe if I had more money, I'd choose to buy a dedicated rifle scope and a dedicated handheld or helmet mount. But in this price range, I don't think I've seen a better multi role optic.

Long as you're ok with it not really working as a clip on. As a 2x EOTech/Holosun basically with thermal it's sick tho and you've got the handheld and helmet modes but it won't go in front of an optic correctly.

Can't find many user reviews online. One of the few I found said he had problems with the unit holding zero after turning off or changing batteries. He had sent it back to Iray at least 2 times with no change. What are you hearing on these units holding Zero?

Honestly I think they claim you need to re-collimate it each time it comes on/off the gun.

In your opinion, what would be the best choice for 90 percent dedicated rifle-mounted use......Micro rl25 X AGM Varmint lrf ts35-384???

Between this optic and the agm ts35 384 which provides a higher quality image? I'm seriously cross shopping these two. The agm seems to have more features over the iray.

Can you front mount this like a clip on? Use it with am lpvo?

No you cannot. It doesn’t have clip on software in it because it’s a 2x base mag. Clip ons need to be a 1x optic. Also, the RL25 is now discontinued and no longer available. You need to look at the RH25 640. Give us a call Monday I think you’re going to be blown away at the price youll be able to get it at… 😎

So why exactly can’t you use the RL25 as a clip-on but you can with the RH25?

2 main reasons….it is 2x optical magnification and it doesn’t have the clip-on mode that changes the screen to work in front of a day optic. Putting the RL25 in front of a day scope is no different than putting any other thermal scope in front of a day scope…and it hits doesn’t work right.

I'm sure it could have been done as one would think it's just a softwear thing to add the clip on small screen option just on 2 power. Probably wasn't doable to keep the price where it needed to be competitive. I could be wrong. Would have been a nice option.

@@jameskozlowski5496 I mean I also think there's just an element of wanting to keep tiers in the product line. Having an important feature that only applies to the more, "pro" model will kinda push you into the arms of the RH-25. Also with the thing already being 2X default and 320 core and then throwing some LPVO mag on top of that it's gonna get pretty pac man in a hurry.
