Another great vid Ben. Your eyes light up when you smile .... its just great to see ... a very addictive smile! Wonderful to see someone who genuinely enjoys what they do!
Hi Ben, fantastic video, beautiful pictures, perfect editing. Your smile when you reached the Slough end made me smile, too. Really happy for you. Maybe I'm gonna explore the Slough arm by kayak one day.
Congratulations! Great video. We knew you were going to go for it, despite the possible risks. Your smile and enthusiasm are infectious. Get up to the Wendover Arm, you will love it.
Indeed, you did have such a happy smile when you piloted Bramble to the end of the Slough arm without incident. We take joy in these accomplishments with you. Smiling, too.
Oh Ben, this was an absolutely lovely adventure! Thank you so much for taking us along on Bramble. All that footage as the sun was streaming through the trees was stunning. The music was fantastic! Keep up the good work there. And the joy on your face just made me smile so big! Atta boy, you did it!
Congratulations on completing the whole Slough Arm. You could definitely tell you were happy by your very smiley face. You really did look chuffed. Hope the ice hasn’t removed too much blacking. Brilliant vlog Ben. Thanks for posting 👍
Thanks 😊 I was super chuffed, still am! The blacking seems ok thankfully, that’s why I didn’t go straight into the ice at first. Wanted to assess the conditions further up which gave most of the ice time to melt a bit too 😁
I've only made it to Langley on my bike, to have a look , don't know if l could make it all the way on my 10 foot widebeam, best regards Phil, Boston belle.
Well done Ben. Does the ice scratch and remove some bitumen around the waterline? I'm thinking it must be hard on that area, as that's the area pitting starts. Cheers!
We are researching as we are facing the slough arm today! Good to see a more positive video on it and that you got through mostly unphased! 🥳😊 Well done 👏🏻
Congratulations on conquering Slough, many would baulk at the idea. Also, Narrowboat Will claims a "Silver Propellor" every time he reaches the end of a canal, are there such things or is that just him?
Thank You I had never heard about it before but just had a google- it’s a challenge that the inland waterways have made to ensure that certain areas continue to be cruised (so they don’t get lost) When you have cruised 20 locations on their map with photographic proof, you can claim a silver Propellor plaque to put on your craft! Thanks for bringing my attention to it, Slough is one such location! 😁
