Actually fun fact: alcohol has a short antidepressant effect of about 4 hours. You kinda have to be smacked though... It used to be prescribed before the invention of antidepressants to treat depression and similar anxio-depressive moods. Obviously to a fault, because, girlie, the hangover just makes your depression worse. Winston Churchill got a certificate from his doctor back in the day to go to the US and get alcohol for his condition (while prohibition was still a thing)
