After 2hrs of this podcast listening to John Allan Namu, all I can say is that this guy is truly wise and integral. Kudos to him.

@30:34 i will like to give an answer as well. WSR could have played a big role in solving corruption if he would have gone after the covid billionaires. Uhuru, Raila, cabinet secretaries at that time led in embezzling public funds. Uhuru is on record admitting how Kenya lost 2 billion daily. If WSR was not part of the looting team, mostly happened during second term, he would have recovered all that time. I will tell you point blank that WSR decided to play politics and get his due share and looked the other way. Hint is when matiangi was running left right, uhuru sheep being stolen and mabati structure erected in his farm... That paved way for his share because after that everything went cold turkey. Raila lies to people about maandamano being about the people but i can tell you for free it is his sellout strategy and it has been since 2007 and people close to the president even in WSR government have confirmed. He goes to state house and picks his cheque once the maandamano is over. Those who die are meant to. The time was perfect for WSR to set a new record in fighting corruption but he is first a politician before he is president.

I was an intern at The Standard when news broke that Chris Msando's body had been discovered in a thicket (in Kiambu?). I remember there was a hush in the newsroom as disturbing images rolled on TV. The top editors who included Kipkoech Tanui and, I think, John Bundotich and others hurried to a conference room to deliberate. The atmosphere was profoundly tense. The envelope thing happens till today. I happened to be an intern kwa a big media house toward the election, after every conference tunaitwa and are given something. We were eating very well. Lakini journalists ni kama kutumia dem fare akule, we eat money and still report accurately and objectively. Alafu Raila is very mean, hatoangi kitu bana😂😂
