How are you going to stop the sides caving in as you move forward ?

@@martinblackwell195 I'm going to cover them with a sheet of DPM to stop the rain from getting to them. Hopefully that'll stop it!

Great video’s. What size are the nudura blocks and how much are they please? Thank you
@RichDoesDIY
@RichDoesDIY 2 месяца назад
Hi, the blocks are about 2400 L x 457mm H x 337mm depth. Around £2600 for the blocks and clips. It would be cheaper to do it using the method in my previous pool. But the insulation properties of this method should make it substantially cheaper to heat!
@alfie2932
@alfie2932 27 дней назад
@@RichDoesDIY Could you not achieve the same by increasing the thickness of the external insulation you did on the previous pool build?
@RichDoesDIY

@@alfie2932 yes, almost definitely 👍

For ICF pool, what would be the wall finish you recommend?
@RichDoesDIY
@RichDoesDIY 20 дней назад
So I'm probably not in a position to recommend a finish as I've never done this before.... The safe bet would be a bag liner or weld on site liner I'd have thought. My plan is a bit more risky!

Was the graded gravel -MOT type one roadstone please?
@RichDoesDIY
@RichDoesDIY Месяц назад
It was 40mm to dust. I guess any graded stone would work. Important that it compacts and can drain.

Would these block be ok if the external water table rose to above the bottom of the pool?
@RichDoesDIY
@RichDoesDIY 2 месяца назад
Good question. On my first pool and this pool i was fortunate enough to have well draining soil. Moreso on the last pool. The blocks would be fine. But I guess the structural engineer would need to specify thickness and reinforcement to suit. You'd probably need to tank the outside somehow as well. And install a hydrostatic release valve to stop the pool from turning into a boat. Which does happen!
