You both were spot on with todays video. I don't use the multiple profiles for mounting one scope on different rifles. I use it for the different ammo (super sonic vs sub sonic) I run through the one gun. Black hot and white hot are all I need.
I shoot a 22-250 and my bolt th50c v2 will not detect recoil when I try to use my shot activated video. I missed out on a quad kill with two being runners and I had no video to show my friends! Lesson learned! It’s always off now and I record manually.
Enjoyed the show. Most, common sense info. I agree with everything mentioned. I do occasionally use the red monochrome in these hot, humid South Carolina conditions.
Stadiametric ranging works great IF(!) you can use something that has a standard size, is common in the area, and has little to no deviation from it. If companies would give us the option of putting in different objects and their sizes, THAT would be useful. And it’s nothing but a software update. For me, a typical fence post, or a prickly pear pad, or a grey fox, are all very consistent sizes. Don’t need a picture of it. Let us enter the name and average size, scope does the rest.
That would be an interesting idea for sure. We think we’ll eventually get to the point that the vast majority of scopes will have a LRF but that’s a little ways off.
It takes me usually 5 shots with my Pulsar thermals to zero and feel comfortable with it. And I say usually because sometimes my brain works backwards and I mess it all up.😂
