None of those things are the root cause. They are just symptoms. You can't have a meritocracy when you allow women into the workplace because the outcomes won't be equal and they will vote to change things to equilibrium. Same is sadly true with non-White minorities. In the absence of meritocracy and traditional gender roles other niche identities will fill the vacuum. Without mothers in the home kids will be raised without boundaries. So it all goes back to feminism and the small group that controls the media.

There's an anomaly applying here. Dennis wonders how Richard Dawkins can at the same time promote atheism yet regret the decline of Christian traditions; but he's doing much the same himself. He told us that as a young man visiting North Africa one December he felt homesick for the trappings of Christmas; carols, decorations, goodwill etc. Yet does he actually believe that the Creator made himself man, as a baby in the Bethlehem manger? - I don't think so. Dennis claims to have guided very many people to join churches, and so to take Communion; yet does he believe that by the crucifixion Jesus actually bore, as a sacrificial lamb, the sins of all penitents ? - not exactly. He probably enjoys Easter, with the bunnies and eggs and celebrations; but does he believe Jesus literally rose from the dead? - if he did, he'd be a Christian and not just a Jew. In sum, I bet he thrills, like me, to the glorious music of Handel's Messiah - yet he does not believe a word of it. He and Dawkins should get together, they have much in common.

What is driving the death of the west is the same thing that is driving the death of every creature on planet earth. The answer is sin. We can do all kinds of things to try and better ourselves and turn back the tide of self destruction but we will never do it. We are destined to self destruct. According to the Christian Bible, the world and humanity is doomed because of our sin. Only God can save us. It is vanity and pride to think that we can prevent this inevitability. The humble man knows this and submits to God knowing the only hope is in God’s grace. It is knowing this and a humble submission to God that may provide a little light in a dying world. Good will have to straighten this mess out because Dennis Prager won’t and Donald Trump won’t and George Soros won’t and Bill Gates won’t and Jordan Peterson won’t and Justin Trudeau won’t and I certainly won’t. Any questions? Don’t ask me. Pray to God.

What a strange and dangerout concept - a Christian culture but not Christian religion. I've met people who say they do not practice the Jewish religion, but say they are culturally Jewish - and I always thought that was dangerous. If you say you are a Jew or a Christian - you must believe in God. You cannot presume that America will be saved by continuing the Christian "culture" without God. Without God people will make and follow their own rules (moral or not). Rather than have the Jewish law they have the secular law - which is relative and is not based on truth. Our one hope - and what I work to help - is that we believe in God (God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus...). And from there we must love God and our neighbor (everyone) as ourselves.
@SlimThrull

You can have a culture based on a concept without incorporating the entirety of that concept. In fact, this is how most cultures work.

I believe in the God of the Jews and Jewish law, but it was written for Jews and demanded of them to adhere to, not gentiles. I am thankful to God for making Jews a nation of priests and a Holly people, and I will continue to learn from their wisdom as a Noahide. But to say that secular law has no truth is far from true, though there are plenty of examples of perverse secular law.

I admire Richard Dawkins, and especially like his book "The Blind Watchmaker". Like him I too am an atheist, but like him I agree that if Christian culture were to vanish it would be both a sentimental loss and the removal of an inspiration for good conduct. There is nothing inconsistent. Any myth or superstition that causes a population to behave well is an asset to the society. What a person believes determines his morality, regardless of its objective truth. There is a source of morality that is not based on superstition, and when it becomes widely acknowledged I believe it will bring a far better result than any religion; and recall that the three Abrahamic ones have accompanied a very long list of violent wars for all their history. That source is well explained by the late Murray Rothbard, in "The Ethics of Liberty" - look it up. It has much in common with the similar theme in Ayn Rand's thinking, of which Dennis must be well aware from his conversation with Craig Biddle in Fireside Chat #174.

You have to stop blaming everything on a lack of religion. None of this has to do with religion. The idea that everyone needs your religion is toxic and incorrect. We need to be able to work together across religion boundaries.
@V742
@V742 2 месяца назад
I can appreciate your sentiment, but religion (including its absence) is a fundamental part of human existence. How we view death and what comes after it shapes how we view life. It is foundational. Bringing the different groups together is important, but since the big 5 all say different things, only one of them can be correct (those being Hindu, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam).
@maxwell8758
@maxwell8758 2 месяца назад
@@V742 Well none of them are correct. But regardless, it is not fundamental. The more scientific a society gets the less religious it gets. You don’t need religion to function as a society. And, if you did, I would argue it was never a good society. If you’re only living your life for what happens after, you are living a very shallow and delusional life.

@SlimThrull 2 месяца назад
Maxwell, while I agree, your plea is going to fall on deaf ears. Prager thinks that as the world gets less religious, everything gets worse. The reality is that infant mortality is down, illiteracy is down, teens pregnancies are down, murder, assaults, and other violent crimes are down. It seems the more we move away from religion, the better things get. But Prager doesn't like that. Instead he invents a world where everything is always going wrong and blames it on someone other than him. Which is rather funny when you think about it: Lying is against the Ten Commandments. For someone so worried about everyone else's morality, he sure doesn't seem to mind ignoring the biblical morality when it suits him. That should tell you everything you need o know about him. And also tell you why you can just ignore him.
@SlimThrull
