Ep 34 - Solo swag camping on a sheep station by a creek / cooking and relaxing by the fire

In this episode I head to a sheep station in central Victoria and spend the night by a beautiful creek. I enjoyed listening to the abundant local bird life and cooked a delicious dinner on the campfire. The temp dropped to below 2 degrees Celsius overnight, but I was toasty warm in my swag.

Im Australian but have been living overseas for the last 7 odd years. Absolutely beautiful scenery and making me a bit teary eyed knowing I’m not able to experience the same. Safe travels.

Just subbed from Roleystone WA, 63 yr old Nannie & competition photographer. Thank you for taking us camping 🙏🏽. I have 3 Rottweiler show dogs & we love camping, they have their own self contained dog float which they love. The girls love watching camping on YT with doggies 😂 I am gutted at the moment, I bought a new 4X4 recently and was unloading my Transit Van kitting out the 4X4 (need to sell the transit) when I tripped backwards out of the van onto the hard driveway and smashed my dominant L wrist. No camping now I can see for bloody months if not a year 😭. I see you take your GSDs out camping, great to see. So hard here as everywhere is laced with poison. Love to hear your thoughts on some of the gear you use, love your options, I have same/similar gear. Just bought a swag to try as an option. Oh well, I will spend my time getting my canopy fine tuned ready to camp. Best regards 🙌🏽

Thankyou so much for watching Connie :) Yes they sure can. I was planning to take Zeus on this one but I wasn’t sure how he’d go with sheep. I’ll definitely take him back there though

Nice one. love the swag, great minds 😛Was that a HipCamp place? I just got home from an overnighter in the swag on a farm but I think you win! The wind was howling and really cold the whole time basically so not sure how it will come up in the edit 😛 Glad you found a nice place ✌🏻

Thanks for watching again and for the comment too. As always, a lovely one :) Yep, sure was a Hipcamp. It’s getting difficult to find any safe public camp areas down here, that aren’t crowded. I definitely won the lottery with this private farm though! The weather was perfect too, super cold night but sunny days. Sorry to hear yours was cold and windy; it’s the luck of the draw really, isn’t it. I’m sure the video will be great though, regardless!
