Mwaf, you’ve really mastered it! You bring in the right people, ask the perfect questions, and the vibe is just on another level. Great job! Mijungu and Ian kazi safi!
Mijungu talks with politicians for a living and is arguing from their perspective. He should remember that what's happening now has never happened again in the history of this country. What he is saying is true if we were back in 2022 or 2023. Right now the mood of Kenyans across most devides is the need for change. Unlike before, hii si kitu kidogo ya kuoverlook.
Mijungu forgets that in Senegal they picked Faye the youngest president out of the blue.. Things change and i hope he will live to see the different kind of Leadership for this country
@@ngangai1 Sorry but Faye wasn't picked out of the blue. He was anointed by his friend who was poised to clinch the win, but the government found a way of putting him in prison, and could not run again. The government thought getting the 2 out of prison on short notice won't give them time to win. The rest is history.
Ken knows politics more than you and me. He has dealt with all these politicians you see around. Central Muna njaa na Ruto ana pesa ya kuwashibisha. Hata wewe utamoigia
My guy's contradicting himself, "Azziad reinvented herself thats why she's remained relevant." Isn't Morara also doing the same thing; reinventing himself?
In my view, the people are the ones pushing Morara to run for the presidency, I included because we have seen his vision, I don't think himself he is ready
This is a very deliberate and conscious conversation. People should know things will not happen easily. We are dealing with cold blooded killers, tunajaribu kunyanganya simba nyama na kijiti. Wisdom above strength.
@@wairimumuriuki630 I disagree with you respectfully. He doesn't have any effect. With or without Morara, Ruto would be losing election. But again, 90% of African presidents often lose elections but not the presidency. Uhuru and Kibaki lost re-election but were president. Ruto will lose but will be president. We live in a thagary system.
I now have some respect for Mijungu, I had never heard him express himself, I dont like how he conducts his interviews, but he surely knows his shit. Thanks @Mwaf from bringing him on.
@@samwaithaka8368 He is brilliant but judges Central Kenya with a Western Kenya mind. It doesn't work that. Even heard him talk of Lesser Central Kenya...what?!
I hope Rapcha the Scientist tunes into this podcast. I mentioned on his X account that Morara isn’t as prominent as some people think, and he ended up blocking me! He really needs a solid strategy. X si ground!
Kuna kitu Mijungu haelewi Kwa ground vitu ni different Ruto is no longer the defacto leader in central You cannot downplay Morara's effect on Ruto ati zero effect 😂 Millennials being Millennials 😂
Ken Mijungu fraternises with the political class he definitely doesn't see what's coming, ati Ruto is the de facto leader of Mount Kenya. There's no region currently in Kenya that despises Ruto more than Murima, he dished out promises over there that he could not keep, and I dare anyone who disagrees to send me a link to a video from the recent financial bill rejection protests to Riggy G's impeachment public participation events from Central with the normal mwanchi from huko akisema any positive thing about Ruto
If Ken Mijungu still thinks Ruto will get the votes he got in 2022 in 2027 in the mountain then I think he knows totally nothing about the central Kenya people.
Mijungu might be right about some things out of experience and previous patterns, but for things to change even in our own lives, families or businesses you look keenly and realize that something happened that you didn't see coming (good or bad). I'd really like Kebaso to listen to this with a very sober mind and continue improving his game. Success loves preparedness and luck meets you on the way. At this point anything can happen.
Ken is only being truthful, some people can't handle truth, while others use it to become stronger. Those who find his utterances unpalatable need to grow up and live in the real world; not a fantasy one that they envisage in their minds. I am Morara damu but I think he should embrace these bitter truths to become better and stronger. Life is counter-intuitive, what you hate most is always good for you, and Morara should move stealthily and confuse them. Creep up on them and strike when they least expect. But I approve of his activities. I love Subas; they are too Luo than us, real Luos, they even make the best Luo music.
Ruto is losing nothing in central Kenya?????? that's a joke😂😂toka hapo SGM ukuje ground and understand the only mp in central Kenya coming back is Ndindi Nyoro and wamuchomba ....rutos clowns are packing up.
You cannot talk about Central politics without being from Central. I being a diehard Azimio supporter from Central have begun seeing people reading from the same script now. Voter power in central is like a tsunami especially in these circumstances. You may be a seasoned political journalist but one thing i guarantee you, Mt.Kenya will become galvanised now. Some of us tried to vote Raila due to his reformist credentials and also to break this leadership ping pong between two tribes. One thing you cannot wish away though is the more than 5 million votes in Kikuyu Central Kenya.
Millenials and Gen Z political views kuna gap kubwa sana ya understanding and forever people will disagree on views ..Ken still believes in old system Morara wants to bring a new system dont forget the youths are more than millennials Mtu ako form 2 sahii atakua na kura 2027..lets wait and see
I find the perspectives provided here by Mijungu are quite different. For Morara I think it's good to take some of the things said here for consideration especially the one concerning speed.
Once upon a time, they didn't think MLK was influential yet he started a whole civil rights revolution, they thought Tom Mboya was a small boy with no higher education look at the impact he left in this nation. Muhammad Yunus of Bangladesh would never have thought one day he would lead Bangladesh, bit his ideas had permeated so deeply in the youth that they overthrew their prime minister and asked him to come lead. This is a different world where the youth and Gen Z are causing whole revolutions and are refusing the status quo. I can whole heartedly say that even the conversation on Palestine becoming such a forefront conversation that governments accross the world have had to intervene is because of Gen Z. Hii mambo ya youth and Gen Z si Kenya pekee yake, vitu kwa ground zinachange the world over with this new globalized generation that all has a singular shared definition and vision of what good governance looks like.
One more thing, about Morara going for Nairobi Governor - Nope, he can’t make it. Governors are the princes. Anybody can be MCA, MP, Senator, but you have to be endorsed by the “Powers” to become a Governor.
Very Mature and informed convo. Matters Morara ; keep the important things the important thing ie. keep exposing the corruption in the govt. I like to submit that genZ movement needs to keep focus on calling out for good governance, and institutional accountability Big up IKONINI team.
We know the Dynamics of being a President in Kenya are complicated internally but Ken and Mwaf are making a big mistake by not mentioning the external Dynamics..USA, European intrests are a major factor for you to be a President in Kenya and probably the most important factor. If Ruto was not wanted by the west he would not be President today.Raila is not an option in the West.
I think Ken Mijungu has not understood the weight and potential, and anger, of the demographic behind Morara. Kenyans are exhausted of the current crop of leadership. They are ready for change. Great discussion on the overall, though 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
This has been a great interview. Ken is very knowledgeable. It appears that Mwaf hasn’t been smoking jaba. I heard from him first that Morara should go for governor first.
Mijungu is very right emotions don't win you anything in Kenya! Tribal politics iko ndaaani ndaaaani we will eventually vote the same person we are villfying
🤣🤣The furthest part of central Kenya Ken Mijungu has been is Kiambu road.....watu wa Mt Kenya hupiga kura feelings thats why the local MPs didn`t participate in the public participation...they don`t even sleep in their rural homes for fear of eing lynched by residents
Mijungu is in 2022, we are in 2024.... also he is not giving an independent analysis, he is imposing his opinion on what should happen......we did not have a leader in 2022, we have one now known as Riggy G
Ken’s take on Morara vs established politicos reminds me of a time when Nyongo and Orengo tried to go against Agwambo and went nowhere. It’s really hard to go against an established politicians who have people and funds behind them. The mood of the country is definitely different so it remains to be seen whether voters will restore to default setting.
Problem with Ken is that he thinks he knows everything. The other day he said Gachagua would resign by Friday evening. And he spoke with 100% certainty. That did not happen. Bro should stop trying to be the smartest person in the room.
