Kapil has virtually become my only form of guidance since I’ve found him. It’s funny because I expect that the ones who resonate with his words will be fairly lost after hearing this as I was when I first heard him speak-even though it was truth to me. If this is the first you’ve been exposed to Kapil and his words resonate so much with you that you want more, consider yourself very lucky. It won’t with most and they will unknowingly miss an opportunity to explore a body of work that is all direct truth about life, sport and business. It’s so valuable that I find myself slightly frustrated when he does podcasts on bigger platforms because I know more people will discover these truths, even though that number will still be rather small. I suppose that’s my mind still competing in a sort of hierarchy game though.

Same. However, I can also imagine if more people could resonate with Kapil Gupta...so much suffering in this world would be eradicated... Instantly!! We would live in a complete different world.

I use to feel this way too.. hoping that more people won't discover who he is...but I feel that the truth will always remain unpopular... because humans want to feel good...and what Kapil Gupta says will make ppl feel like shit

When that dude was left alone on the podcast..it seemed like the closest thing to what I would imagine a conversation with God would be like...Kapil Gupta is not for everyone... but its difficult to disagree with anything he says... he's speaks the unpopular truth..so I can't believe anyone would have him on a podcast...for that I'm going to subscribe to this channel

I have never heard Kapil Gupta speak, thank you for having him on as a guest. I no longer subscribe to Minimalists Patreon as it was becoming something else I had to pay for and, therefore, HAD to feel like I was getting value from it or else I was failing at that too. Kapil Gupta’s words make sense to me, I will explore his content. Be well 🌹

Thank you this was very interesting. I read recently that Marcus Aurelius wrote ' Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.' I see and hear information and then I do what I wish with them. Your channel helps me to find my way and thank you so much for that 🌟 🌟 🌟

I feel like I listened to my Dad, and I especially mean this in a great way. He passed away 10 years ago, but he was as wise as an owl, and I could always learn something prolific from my Dad's openness and exceptions of reality. It is refreshing to hear the power behind words, I'm not interested in common practice either. I get further from knowing people, places, and things than how from them. Kudos to a great podcast!! Thank You, 🙏🏼💓😊 Brianna Phillips

I love how he called out, maybe not directly or intentionally, the self-proclaimed coaches or gurus of the internet today, on their lack of experience/knowledge/substance/credentials and monetising on it. Music to my ears.

WOW, where did this guy come from and where did he get his insight. This describes how I spent most of 2022, my mantra being "Everyone lies" which I've felt for many years now. Watching and hearing the news, along with historic documentaries, I can't believe how many lies and coverups have happened over eons. In our time I feel it all comes from greed. Perhaps it's always been about greed, not just monetary and material things, but also power and control. I lived last year with reckless abandon because I just didn't care anymore. After realizing I could make my life worse with this attitude I decided to try to better manage my feelings and take everything I hear "with a grain of salt" as the adage goes. A good theme song to sum this all up came out in the 70s by Styx; The Grand Illusion.

Thanks for sharing this. It is a challenging message. He says, "Everything comes down to realizations for ones self". The truth he believes is no better than any other truth. So what's the point? If all truth is relative then there is no truth. If there is no objective truth then there is no objective good. We live in a created world with revealed truth that is objective and calls us to love one another. I can certainly relate to the problem of caring too much about what others think but the answer is not found in me it is found in Christ and His model for me. But again, thanks for sharing this so I could interact with his challenging teaching. Peace.

if all truths are relative then there is no truth hence everything is false, thats exactly his point. and when one really sees this one's mind automatically shuts down without doing anything! and realizes the true truth, the one that doesnt comes from mind/intellect it just comes XD

To distill his main idea down to its essense, I think he's doing us to take more personal responsibility for or experience here and not simply hand that over to see-help gurus. Even in my classes, I always advise students to customize my advice so that it works for them or feel free not to take my advice at all. Do what works for you!

Thank you for this episode. It is especially important at this time of the year to hear when bombarded with self improvement messages, the message of being while and seeking the wholeness within. I find this quite relatable as a former addict of self improvement having come around to dealing with a gentler healing and a better relationship with betterment. I don’t need another how to and they whys to come easier from a place of connecting with others rather than paying too close attention to those pontificating for the sake of their own aggrandizement. I thank you for being open, vulnerable…this is when it ceases to be thin soup or prescriptive and it adds real value. The willingness to grapple with uncomfortable truths , even if unpopular is what is admirable in your podcast today. It inspires me to lean into my own discomforts and continue to grow into my true best self. Deep thanks!

Glad I belive that there is no ultimate or the truth. A lot of what he is saying is right, of course, but not new. I believe, if I can make the World a better place (better, not best, not ultimate) for some - be it humans, animals, plants - my Life was not in vain. For someone who does not care about so many things he sure sounds angry a lot.

ALL how-tos and prescriptions are in fact LIES. The problem with any advice is that as soon as one follows the advice, one will never reach the destination. It's a fruitless journey. The solution to any problem is hidden deep inside that problem, so to follow any prescription means to never understand the roots of the problem. One needs the opposite of advice to find the solution: a bird's eye view of the situation, a blue print of the problem, the full understanding of where one is and where one wants to get to. But that doesn't mean that one should arrive anywhere. Nor that one should want to arrive anywhere. There's no should here.

What even is "good advice"? Good for who? After listening to Kapil Gupta's excellent piece, I think the world suffers from advice overload, unnecessary prescriptions. Rather than 'helping' us, I've found the plethora of advice out there overwhelming and even crippling. Mostly I no longer engage with any of it and I feel better.

31:25... "Anything that comes with a certainty. If you do this, then you will get that, is a complete trap." Not purposely being difficult, but I disagree. If you fast, especially for more than a day, you will lose body fat. From purely a weight loss goal, I coach people to eat once every two to three days. It's been a 100% success rate. 100%. I guarantee, if you eat only once every three days, you will lose 20-30 pounds of fat per month. I don't recommend this to skinny people, because they'll obviously have issues.

Did he just split people into “world class”, “Buddahood” ( his teaching or whatever he thinks he is doing) vs “commoners” at 33:51? Wow he lost me at that, this guy has a huge ego! Doesn’t he know nobody knows the truth? We are all truth seekers, that’s our journey in life. I was hoping for some good insights, but he completely turned me off with his arrogance and judgment. Nobody is above anybody and his books are part of the millions of books he thinks so little of. Can’t stand people like this!
