Also Rob, when you mentioned the proteus carrier for the interemptors that refers to the standard proteus transport. The other is the explorator that they don't have access to as a dedicated transport.
Thanks for the shout out Jon. I did indeed bring an Excindio to your evenet and Farith Redloss was leading the army. Everyone underestimates the Firewing Cabal. I run them in my Firewing lists and they can stack their Marked for Death ability with the Priority Target rules for bonuses to hit and rerolls to wound. A Telepathy Librarian to shut off reactions gets round the problem with overwatch, to the point I've used them to take out dreadnoughts with their blade charge.
It's funny to me that one of the swords on the cenobium kit has incorrect latin conjugation - angelus morte, so ablative, instead of genitive, which is what I think they wanted to go for - so angelus mortis. If they expect me to pay 93 euros for 5 of these guys, I at least want the latin to be crisp. On a more serious note, great video, I found it very useful. Dark Angels is a legion where I feel like things can get really overpowered really quick if you spam stuff, so in the list I'm currently building I'm trying to keep things cool, fluffy and balanced. Never even looked into the enigmatus cabal, they look underwhelming, but extremely cool at the same time, gonna try converting a couple of those. The Excindio automata has the most badass description, it really is a shame that it never had a model.

Not sure how methodically you read these comments, but Jon wanted a Blood Angels weapon set mace. There is a very similar one on cults, just bigger and a bit more detailed. I used a few for my destroyers and it looks wicked if you're open to the 3d printed option!
Fire enigmatus cabal here is how to play them. You stick a apothicary in there with a calibanite war blade and a paladin with terranic great sword with death wing, so you can now choose wether you +1 to hit or +1 to wound if there is a character
Enigmatus cabal are brilliant. If you dont manage to get them where you want via deepstrike or outflank at worst you might just kill a tac squad or just draw some fire, you only lose 100 pts. When they work out the way you want, which for me is about 50% of the time, they trade up massively. And they're just really cool, the whole idea of this small head hunting assassin team is great. Also, really enjoyed the video, thanks. Been playing DA for years and this video still managed to give me ideas I hadn't thought of!
How does someone from Omsk get his book signed. Not to mention that GW pulled all the orders from eastern europe, no matter how many books someone ordered.
@@piotrjeske4599 same way everyone else does, travel to the events, people travel from all over the world to attend events, LVO/Warhammer fest/London GT to name a few, there in lies the truth of it, if you don't want to travel to get it signed then the signature probably didn't hold much value to you in the first place so made to order with no signature is the better option
Has anyone that claims the inner circle knights are one of the best ever actually done the math? 10v10, Against WS 4 Cataphractii Terminators, no charge for either side, your only getting 3 instant death wounds through. So 3 dead terminators at initiative, maybe 4 if you get lucky and they fail some 2+ saves. The remaining Cataphractii Terminators, if give thunder hammers, will then get ~3.6 wounds through onto the knights. So depending on if they get 3 or 4 hits, that's 3 or 4 dead Inner Circle on average. So they trade poorly into normal terminators, let alone anything with WS 5. I play dark angels and while this unit looks sick, gambling with the swords just isn't worth it. The thunderhammers are the right option but then you lose the +1 to hit and the drip.
An issue for the idea of doing made to order on the Ltd Edition books is that book printers have long lead times on actually printing them (often 9-18 months in advance for booking the slot). Also it is very difficult to add a load of extra copies into a print run, as the printer will have other books booked into slots either side Companies like TSR (old D&D) found they were getting into issues as they were not a games company, they were a book selling company, and they didn't own the manufacturing side of it. And as such got into serious issues if things didn't go well. Or they found that the printers started charging more for making the books. As they didn't have alternative ways to make their money. Of course GW could buy their own printers. But honestly they don't make enough money or enough books to make it worth it. Doing Made to Order for books can also have its own issues, as a lot of their books are in conjunction with some lore based event. So preselling a mystery novel without details would make it hard to get people to put money down. Or they reveal the plot point early to sell the book and spoil the surprise for future model releases. I do like the rumour that has surfaced that GW are considering doing a MTO run of the SoT series of ones that are identically bound to the Ltd/Special editions. But are not signed. They can offer to do the whole series all at once, allowing people to purchase any individual ones they want. I suspect there would be a lot of orders for them. And the difficulty that comes from that, is it will take them a long time to get a suitable print slot to produce them all over time. Additionally there is a strange thing with how much GW makes as profit margins on sale per item. The highest % is from Audio, then Hardback, then Softback, and finally the Ltd Editions per book have the lowest profit margins.
I'd also say a solution could be (and it's been proposed before) that they could do a limited edition signed edition as regular sale. But at the point that all of those run out, the page could change to then allow the purchase of a MTO version. This would mean they could book a slot for a few months down the track, or make sure they book slightly longer slots than they require for the following Ltd order (which you normally do anyway in case of print errors and stuff). But can then churn out the extra copies in that gap.
Marduk with transports full of guys piled up to start, and dreads.with the preferred enemy has been crazy strong in a few games I played. My group plays 6 inch aura from Marduk or his transport
Hunter of Beasts make cenobium utter dreadnought killers - hitting on 3s, wounding/instant death on 5s rerolling all fails - five cenobium delete full strength contemptors in a turn regularly. The only issue is they do take some losses but generally only one/two terminators
Just a couple of notes about the comments on Interemptors - they have access to the Proteus Carrier as a dedicated transport, not the Explorator so you'd still have to purchase an Explorator using a Heavy slot if you want to scout them up (which is fun, ngl). Additionally, the assessment on the Plasma Incinerator and torrent seems off - the benefit of torrent isn't so much the range, which admittedly is nice, but its more about not having to worry as much about placement of the model, and that the torrent allows for great options to maximise the number of hits you can get on an enemy unit
Stasis being heavy can suck, but a lot of the units that want them - in particular Veterans and the Armistos consul - have relentless so it doesn't matter. The Armistos expecially, because he can take a missile launcher and terranic greatsword to make it much less attractive to try and use a fast flanker to tie up a heavy weapons squad in melee.
Marduk might actually profit from the the cataphractii Deathwing Companions - they are Deathwing, neither he nor his retinue Cenobium would be. So slightly cheaper, ignore precision, give +1 for his (and their own) sword and you don't have to use your elite slot for a Deathwing version of the Cenobium. Naturally you could just attach a character with Deathwing to him and his Cenobium retinue if you prefer. But yeah, its mostly a modelling option :)
why wouldn't the retinue of Cenobium be able to be Deathwing? Units that are selected as a retinue can choose a different hexagrammaton type, and nothing in Marduk's rules seems to change this?
@@PostinDirty Maybe I misunderstand the rules, but I thought that you have to pick the same wing for units attached at the army building step (same as for apothecaries). Deathwing Companion would then be the exception as they have the Deathwing keyword, but can be chosen as a retinue for a warlord. I would have to check the wording again.

Some of the Authors work on other media such as comic books and do conventions all over the world. It is limited though unfortunately. I remember seeing however in the case of some of the HH Black Books. People actually managed to contact some of the authors and asked them the question or "If I send you a copy by courier and can arrange a courier to collect it at some point later. Would you sign my book" and a few had previously said yes. Though in truth it is expensive to do.
Mentioned that the knights cenobium have the character keyword, but not independent character keyword so I don't believe you would be able to spread wounds around the unit and instead you would have to keep taking wounds on a model until it's dead
