I think drugs and alcohol are what makes humans social creatures. Once I quit those I realized that all the people I considered friends are terrible human beings and our society is full of em. Now I prefer to spend my time doing yardwork and listening to people on podcasts that I have absolutely no obligation to and will never have to help another person move because I have a truck and their landlord finally caught up with them and threatened legal action because they haven't paid their rent in six months... And it warms my heart.

I was watching some documentary over a decade ago and the narrator said human beings will all literally die if they don't see another human for some stupid short amount of time, like days. I don't think i have ever recoiled harder. Like, really?! Really? This is why I'm different? I can't be that different. Well guess what, I'm not.
I don't think you'd die but you'd probably go a bit crazy. The way I always heard it was the rule of 4's: 4 minutes without oxygen, 4 days without water, 4 weeks without food, and 4 months without interacting with anyone.
