If you zoom down near Queensland northern territory border you'll see feather striations on the landscape. A winged Phoenix thunderbird creature spanning two thirds of the continent and taking out dragon ( NSW SA Victoria border) WOW! I seriously doubt the 10 and 12 wings because the current order of cherubs have 4 wings, the current seraphim have 6. The good ones do, not the fallen. Maybe princes had more wings cuz no known angel order is based on just wing number. It also says they have hands and use tools. The point isn’t hyper-literalism. The title Seraphim for these beings is a job description. In the ancient near east gods and kings were guarded by powerful creatures; sphinxes, gryphons, dragons (aka...winged fire breathing serpents with hands and feet...), cherubims, seraphim. Just like how cherubim having multiple faces and features can show God’s rulership over all the animal kingdoms and creation. Just like how humans are the image of God. We are the embodied representation and representative of our creator...but that doesn’t mean God looks human (though he incarnated as Jesus). Nevertheless there are spiritual beings in the ancient near east that were snakes who had feet. The bible writer is communicating in terms that his culture and the cultures would understand to signal that Yahweh is God most high. It’s deep, rich theological messaging. Just like how in Ezekiel Yahweh is high and lifted up and his robe train fills the temple. It’s a testament of his omnipotent power to that culture. Isaiah wouldn’t be like, “Why’s that robe so long...”. Isaiah would have been trembling in fear at the sight of this beings enthroned between seraphim. The presence of The Cosmic King of Creation.

There are cherubim patrolling Eden in genesis. These are heavenly creatures. As well as host of heaven in God’s presence, also heavenly creatures. Also God was in the Garden he himself is in heaven and earth. Heaven is his throne, earth is footstool. Also later in the bible when it talks about the garden of God it talks about his council and host being there with him. Here is one example below: “You were the sealer of perfection, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God. Every precious stone was your covering, the ruby, topaz, and emerald, the chrysolite, onyx, and jasper, the sapphire, turquoise, and beryl; your settings and mounts were made of gold. On the day you were created they were prepared. I placed you there with an anointed guardian cherub; you were on the holy mountain of God; you walked about amidst fiery stones.” ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭28:12-14‬ ‭

Hmm, I don’t personally derive my identity or meaning from suffering. Could you elaborate more? Is there somewhere in the Bible where it says our meaning is derived from suffering? Or is that more of a personal philosophy from your experience and life? Humanity’s meaning is the summed up in the image of God. I think humans find meaning in suffering because we are mortal, due to living outside of Eden and most good and meaning things for mortals are gained with some aspect of suffering (jobs, children, strong muscles, proficiency in talents, etc, etc.). So, much of our lessons and gains come with suffering. Even Genesis mentions the grounds yield will come through sweat and suffering. Because of sin and death. There was still a yield and meaning before that- but now it’s seasoned with suffering because of our fault. The reason humans suffer outside of the garden is because they are subject to death and mortality. Suffering is irrelevant to whether we suffer. Our creativity and love of God and each other is where we get meaning. If there was no God and no people but you still suffered, would it mean anything? You could say, before the fall there was a sweetness to our meaning- after the fall, a tremendous bitterness was added to the sweetness.

I think you might be seeking the answer to the wrong question. In Isaiah 6 when the prophet Isaiah approaches the throne the seraph protects and purges him. In the garden the serpent was likely the seraph who was supposed to guard the tree of knowledge and keep the humans from touching it but instead - he manipulated them into taking it. There are other examples. You jumped to the conclusion that was simply about protecting God or something. There are no examples of the Creator being protected and saved and protected by security guards. There are many more layers and nuances to the picture then God needing to feel security. Security is for mortals who fight to survive and humans who are plagued with trying to determine the knowledge of good and evil according to hyper individualistic interpretations, insecurity and self experience. Using your mode of thought and question, one might also ask, “why would an all-powerful, omnipotent, omniscient God need a human to help tend the garden and rule over the earth. Is God a bit lazy???” Thanks for your question!

The whole video is just wrong. Seraphim - Burning Ones (Fiery Ones) Cherubim - Shining ones Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer are the only three named Cherubim in the Bible. The Seraphim were not named. It can also be deduced from scriptures that the Cherubim are the highest class of Angels, and the Seraphim are second. The Cherubim were always close to God; in Ezekiel we see that he rode on the wings of the cherubrim, in Isaiah we see that he dwells between the Cherubim. The Cherubim do not need to cover their face or feet before God, but the Seraphim cover their face and feet because they can't look upon him and can't ''walk'' before him. The Cherubim can do both, and this is why we see Cherubim sculpted on the ark of covenant and in the most holy place; and in Isaiah's vision where he saw the Seraphim they were standing in the holy places (not the most holy): this difference in proximity to God clearly shows the difference in class. There's more to it, far more than we can presently conclude on.

The serpent on the pole isn’t called a serap, it’s called a nahas. However...the fiery serpents that were biting everyone THAT word in numbers is serap. Also “ a seraphim” is not correct tense. When a word ends with -im in Hebrew, it’s plural. Serap singular, seraphim plural. Cherub singular, cherubim plural. Although some words such as Elohim can be used both plural and singular (even though it also has a singular tense).

If you saw God’s throne surrounded by his cherubim/seraphim, it would like look he was surrounded by powerful creatures that look like griffons, dragons, sphinxes (think of the mythical creatures that are part human and animal). They would be full of light and power and fire and sparkling beyond the shimmering glory of a perfect diamond engulfed in fiery light. Between their fearsome and awesome appearance and God’s overwhelming majesty and glory you would be filled with terror and aw. But I don’t know exactly what they look like, the bible has more then one description of them. However, the way they’re portrayed is most important for describing they’re purpose and job. It could be metaphorical, could be literal, could be both. So to answer your question...yes...no...not sure.
