Trip Dates - 22nd June 2024 to 1st July 2024
We started our journey to Ladakh exploration with Renault Triber Camper VAN. Today on Day 2 of our trip, we are going to travel from Sundar Nagar to Jispa in Himachal. We are going to travel approx. 220km and will cover the distance in around 7 hours. We are trying to share all expenses on the go with all of you so you don't have to wait till the end.
We are going to enjoy this road trip mostly on highways, eat some delicious food on dhabas.
We are going to share a perfect travel plan for Ladakh where you can cover your trip in 10 days and enjoy the road trip.
Today we thought that we will refill car fuel tank at last petrol pump on Manali Leh highway which is in Keylong, but when we reach there we were informed that they are only having diesel and petrol is not available for next 330km. So we had to go back to Tandi Village for refilling petrol in our car.
Though we had enough petrol in our car to reach Leh but it's always recommended to keep tank full as you will never know what will happen on these roads like you may get stuck in traffic or you need to spend night somewhere.

आपका बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद। अटल टनल के बाद तीन पेट्रोल पंप हैं। सबसे पहले सिस्सू में, उसके बाद तांदी में और आखिरी में केलांग में। इसके बाद करीब 330 किमी दूर लद्दाख के कारू तक कोई पेट्रोल पंप नहीं है। यदि आपकी कार के ईंधन टैंक की क्षमता लगभग 40 लीटर है तो आपको अतिरिक्त पेट्रोल ले जाने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। इसके अलावा प्लास्टिक जैरी कैन में पेट्रोल ले जाना अच्छा विचार नहीं है क्योंकि ऊंचे मार्गों पर यह इसमें दबाव बनाता है। हम अपने साथ 5 लीटर अतिरिक्त पेट्रोल ले गए क्योंकि यह हमारा पहली बार था और लौटते समय हमने इसे रास्ते में कुछ बाइकर्स को उपहार में दिया क्योंकि हमें अपनी कार में पेट्रोल की गंध आ रही थी और हम इससे छुटकारा पाना चाहते थे।

@@yexplorerbees बहुत अच्छा किया जो आपने भेट/उपहार मे पेट्रोल दे दिया, किसीको काम मे आएगा तो आपको शुभकामना ही मिलेगी, आपकी यात्रा ओर भी मंगलमय रहेगी, अच्छे विचार है आपके। वैसे आपकी बात भी उचित है के अगर कार की टेंक बड़ी हो तो उसे फूल भरवा दो तो बेकप के लिए अलग से पेट्रोल लेना नहीं पड़ता, अगर लेना पड़े और आपकी गाड़ी मे गंध आने लगि ऐसे मे लोग बाहर ही लटका देते है पर उसमे चोरी होने की अथवा लीकेज होने की संभावना होती है।

We used to drive a manual hatchback before with lower seating posture for many hours while on a trip and now driving Triber AMT, seating on a height is very comforting for us. In this Ladakh trip we drove 8 to 12 hours daily for 9 days and not felt any problem.

We travel through Himachal in Last week (22, 23) of June. It is true that one need to very carefully plan trip to Himachal looking into season. We also planned our trip looking into weather forecast and news, so we crossed Himachal before rainy session and returned back via Srinagar. Filled gas cylinder allowed nai hai. Agr app carry kr rhe hai to aap sari gas nikal kr khali cylinder age le ja skte h aur Keylong me refill kra skte hai. Ask shop owners in Keylong, they will guide you ki knha se refill hoga.

How effective was your hatchback in these terrains? Did you feel any lag? I have a similar hatchback and am planning a trip.(Edit) Oops..just realised it's a 7 seater.

Yes Sir it's a 7 seater but having 1000cc engine which is smaller than majority of hatchback. Thought it's small engine we rarely face lag as we drive leniently, we don't feel it much. If we feel sometime it on a incline, we turn of AC for that time and it cruise any terrain. @raysmith5487 I took the dimensions for you (while front row both seats are adjusted for 5ft10in person and all second and third row seats are completely removed): Width: 4ft 4in (4in less in lower boot but you'll get same 4ft 4in at a height of 1ft in boot also) Length: 5ft 10in (you can get more 6in if move front row seats to forward) Height: 3ft 7in in boot area, 5in more where second row seats were and 10in more (means 43+10inch) just before first row seats starts. In normal days we keep first and second row seats fitted and use car as a 5 seater car. We keep stroller or other stuff in massive boot which we got after removing third row seat (we have not used third row for seating in these 2 year yet). It takes around 10 minutes to remove complete setup and fix the second row seat. Please watch complete setup detailed vlog on our channel for more details on it, in that we have shown the complete process of removing seat and making this setup with time. @@yexplorerbees Thank you for replying ... I am asking because I am also interested in buying Renault Triber. How is the car? I heard from someone who used triber, he said he got max of 12 km on highway. Though, I won't be surprised if he drives fast. My requirement is a good car with reasonable milage, i will be drive at 100kmph, but will definitely not go above 100. We will be 3 adults. I like to drive safe not not very fast. I am also concerned about the cabin noise. Sorry it's a long list of queries i am putting here.😊

We are also waiting for a trip where we do full camping and enjoy our full setup (definitely a group camping). For now as we traveled alone as a family so we preferred to stay in Hotel for safety purpose. About food, we love to explore local food in areas where we travel but for Yuvaan (our son) we try to make at least one time meal in our own kitchen(home cooked), also we boil milk and water for him. Sadly, Renault OEM wipers aise hi h😢. I have a 6-month-old Kiger, and since day one, they were making an irritating noise and were not cleaning properly. I replaced the OEM ones within a few weeks with Bosch Clear Advantage Wipers, and the problem went away. Smooth cleaning and no irritating noise.

Thank for the info, we were thinking to replace it with service center. Now we'll go with Bosch blades.
