I’m really shook by Chris’ answer of how his mother woke him up in the morning for school. I had to wake my mom up between 7-12 times to drive me to school. There wasn’t a bus for where I lived. She would tell me to leave her the fuck alone because she had a hangover or that she just went to sleep. There was no breakfast eating ever. I seriously never ate breakfast until I was a senior in high school and realized that I had the ability to eat and just wasn’t. I regularly went to school hours late and teachers would just shake their head at me. And we lived literally across the street from my elementary school. Like when you look out my front door, you could see the school. But that was a busy road, so she wouldn’t allow me to cross the street by myself. No teeth brushing. I went to school with shoes that didn’t match. No socks. No one cared. My mom and I both need extreme dental work done now. I just told her about how Christina thinks that’s a sign of mental illness. And she angrily disagreed. My therapist says she’s textbook bipolar. But she would never look into that.
I love how their parenting style is such that they display swearing as role models in front of their kids and then say “those are grown-up words you can use when you’re 16” and then are surprised when their kid says “AHH FUCK IT”. If only parenting worked that way. “Hey - even though you’re a kid, just suppress all that and be a role model kid until your 16/18, okay? Great! So easy!”

Regular Sam seems so fun and lively I honestly found myself wanting Nadav to date her, I would want someone like that myself, but there are pros and cons to that stuff I guess
