Dalma is different in different locality in coastal Odisha except Berhampur In Cuttack,Kendrapara,Jagatsinghpur districts particulaly in temples you will find a different dalma prepared from Mung dal(green gram).The ingredients are potato,brinjal,yam,plantain,cocconut,ripe pumpkin,colocasia and Ou(elephants fruit).The green gram is fried first and crushed .Water added to the mung dal and different ingredients are added .After the dalma is boiled and becomes thick it is fried(tadka) with desi ghee,red chilli,Panch Phutan.(combination of Jira,kalajira,methi,sorish,and panmadhuri).Some times the tadka is done by hot mustard oil and after desi ghee is added.Here it is called Chhunka.Then red chilli and Jira(cumin) is directly fried without oil and crushed and added to the recipe. The thick dalma is served hot with plane rice or khichidi.The taste is marvelous even far better than Puri district dalma which is mainly prepared from Arhar dal.In Puri distict dalma even Potal/parwal(pointed gourd),beans are added which are not added in Mung dalma. i have left Odisha.. i really wish if i could explore more of Odia food bcoz as i was travelling i noticed change in taste , while we know that happens across the country but here food has a special place like i noticed it in Bengal....

@@visa2explore sir in bengal you will see lots of presentation, like sweets look fancy and taste is nice,Odisha food is not that fancy but you will definitely get purity and burst of flavours.as it is exactly in central india you get both north indian and south indian flavours in a suttel way.

Chilika is my native place. Naturally and geographically this location is very unique. U can also enjoy the scenery of chilika while traveling by train. All kinds of fishes, crabs and prowns have a unique taste someone could never find these anywhere in the world. Feeling very proud to be a part of this area of Odisha. I love road trips. And the road from Puri to Konark is outstanding. I drove all the way from Kolkata to Puri and then to Konark. Have to visit again to Chilka and Dharingiri.
Whats awesome is that unlike other youtubers you dint restrict your visit to only bhubaneswar and puri... Odisha is much more than just bhubaneswar and puri... Being an odia, even i have not explored puri like you did sir. Thank you so much.
Sir, you have definitely missed out on Satkosia Forest reserve, Bhitarkanika Forest Reserve. In terms of food, you have missed out on the famous Muri Mangso( Mutton gravy mixed with puffed rice). Though it is a strange combination, the taste is very very good. It can be found in in and around the small town of baripada. This place has around 23 waterfalls encompassing it. Since, you enjoy waterfalls so much, I think you would have enjoyed this place very much. These places are very serene and tranquil which will make tourists coming from the hustle and bustle of the metro cities very happy and will fill them with a sense of satisfaction. There is also a beach named Pir Jahania which nobody knows about. There one can witness the sight of shooting stars if they are lucky enough. The beach of Beleshwar is also quite magnificent. Its very much near Konark but nobody knows about the place. You will not find a single person on that beach, no shops, no people whatsoever. There is also a hill station named Daringbari which is nicknamed "The Kashmir of Odisha". In some years people also experience snowfall in this region which is mind-boggling considering the geographical location of this place. Paradeep port also has a rock beach very much like Puducherry and is not full of people. One can enjoy the peace and calm of that place without any disturbance. Odisha is a very diverse and unexplored land and tourists do not have any idea of such places. Astharanga beach is also quite beautiful especially during dawn and dusk. The Naraj Dam is also quite beautiful, though not as big as Hirakud. I enjoy your vlogs a lot. Thank you.

I am not sure in what season you were there but in Chilika bird viewing and Irrawaddy dolphin spotting on boat is a must to do activity for travelers. As you move South in Odisha, the food becomes more spicy as per local acceptance and taste preference.

It was am awesome tour. Same like you we also couldn't cover all the places in chilika lake. But we tried the crab meat there. It was a lifetime experience. Sir ji Berhampur ka breakfast is best in all over odisha You must gonna check out this two places 1. Hari bhaina near railway station 2. Samal hotel in annapurna market... i am damm sure you will love it by your heart .... Try every delicacy here they are just completely different from the ones that you may have tried in bbsr ctc and puri as this cuisenes they are just fab.... Happy journey to BAM

Being a bit of an armchair bird-watcher myself .. I think I was a bit disappointed with not seeing a single 'weird' species of bird on Chilika Lake or even a turtle. Anyways, that's just the Zoologist inside me complaining :)
