I just officially became a member last week and had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Tim Anderson. Shout out to Tim for making me feel loved and warmly accepted into the family! I feel blessed to be part of a church that cares so deeply about teaching, shepherding, and loving others while maintaining the seriousness of the truth. Thank you 😊

I thank God for His great mercies and for Him leading my husband and I to your ministry when we desperately needed to attend a church with expository teaching. May the Lord continue to establish your steps.

I'm not a member at Redeemer Gilbert but I basically watch all the time and borrow good ideas for the church I give leadership to in southern Oregon! (We borrowed your name a little as well - check's in the mail!) Thank you so much for all the great content y'all put out - you're making an impact well outside the four walls of your church!

Part II - well said Pastor Jon - Not Perfection, Just Direction ... the goal bringing people not only closer to Jesus, but to Jesus, it's one thing to ascent to salvation, it's another to appreciate the GREAT LOVE and experience of what Jesus did for us, that we became saved, and are daily becoming saved and perfected till the day we are with him, and given new bodies and functions within Him, Jesus our Lord. Amazing Grace that saved a wretch, and given us a home with Him forever, a walk, a fellowship, a communion that cannot be explained in mere words. Now I like what Pastor Tim said - RELENTLESS (A Big Project) ... can I get a 2nd amen on that? Yes, 400:1 is an amazing caseload. This brings me back to when I was a CPS worker for the county of Los Angeles and being bi-lingual I was given a triple case load and handled it at 100% compliance, then 69:1 where the normal load for an investigator was 23:1 still more than it should be. When I was a teacher in elementary school, it did not improve nearly 40:1, try that with a class of 3rd, 4th, 5th graders? Much silent prayer was needed just to survive the day, lol. Then as a school counselor intern at Gilbert High - the one year I was there, 800:1 which is insane for all the needs and issues teens had at the time w culture and their parents. It did get a little better when I was a professor over a Zumba class, although still crowded, so I can appreciate Pastor Tim's burden. That said, from my observations of past churches, the leadership did not walk the talk they professed. They did invite and ask members to participate and get involved. So then just as they expected that to happen, it really would not happen on any significant foundational base, unless those that led, should and would also participate in the act of inviting themselves over to the house and getting to know the member or prospect. It would not happen if they did not bother themselves to go beyond their ivory towers and get out of their comfort zones (as Jesus did what was considered unorthodox to the religious groups of Good Housekeeping in his day) unless they got "involved" in the lives of family members in their every day lives. Too often, members are "lost" because many have felt that the higher-ups did not care for them enough to even call, send a card, note, or visit. This is not the case here, but it is easy for people to fall thru the cracks as Jon said. There is a good amount of men in fellowship that are involved beyond Saturday morning (also a church-based visit) to text, to chat, to visit, to call, to pray one w another on a daily if not weekly basis. A good friend of mine who attends that is an example of that is Matthew Magnavita, who works at Intel, and is a man of integrity. I appreciate him a good friend of mine now for the past 9 years, but more so since his mother suddenly passed on Mother's Day in a tragic car accident a few years back now. So paid or not as Santa Tim said, Santa would still visit, and being saints we should too, and care on that level. It is impossible to keep tabs on all, or control all, as we are not the Lord, yet as Jon said not perfect, but we should do our best. So it is very encouraging to see the good things the Lord is doing here. If you are on the fence, this is a good church for you to come to, I wholeheartedly recommend it. You will be challenged, you will grow, and if you have fallen away from your 1st love, these brothers will remind you to rekindle what the Lord has begun in your life.

Another fine session you boys have gotten us into (ala Laurel and Hardy) >>> on your judgment day Jon you will have many among us stand up and testify as witnesses to the good shepherding you have done, and are doing. It is like I said in today's word w Pastor Kyle, leadership is often a lonely and unappreciated walk, where even the Shepherd(s) need encouragement, so thank you :) we love you. We are truly blessed by this trio (and the entire pastoral staff) because you are all very caring, authentic, genuine, and approachable. Not every church these days has such a unique combination of the gifts and body working in a very functional way. Yes, Santa Tim (if another Santa here says so himself) is a good selection - (even if he is a Cubs fan) ... hey we're not perfect, just forgiven! I like his idea of a face picture because in a directory it should be a daily reminder to pray for those as often as the Lord brings them to sight. The day I began, Jon said to pray for him, and since that day, not only him, I think I shared I started a poster board at home with many faces to pray for. It is easier to pray for those we love and care for us, but I was reminded by the Lord, to put another side on that poster, the enemies who do not care or love us, the ones who strayed. For at one time, we all belonged in that category, for we were once sinners, doing our own thing, yet Christ still decided to go to the Cross, leaving the riches of heaven, dwelling with us on earth, to die for us, to understand us uniquely. That is not easy, as the Lord is still working me through that one. Well said, the past 20 or 30 years I have seen and been a member of places that catered so much to entertaining the seeker in such a way, that it left doctrine, dogma, apologetics, and good basic hermeneutical teaching to the wayside. So they became exclusive "country clubs" to their detriment, and really could not be much different than being a fan of a baseball, basketball, or football club. Part II - to be continued

Part III - and I close here (as some applaud) >>> it always troubles me not that someone does not like me on FB (which I got off of 7 yrs ago despite 5500 followers). It troubles me those who put a thumbs down (on what they either say they do not like, but do not fully understand, or bother to investigate, or research). Case in point - the great Baptist preacher, RIP, Adrian Rogers brings to mind a violinist who after his concert was given loud standing ovations. He began to weep. The people continued to praise and applaud. When asked why he was weeping, he said, there is one person not standing. He pointed, and said, see that is my teacher, and if I did not please him, it does not matter - all the others who like what I did, it wasn't good enough. Such it is w what Jesus expects of us. He goes and looks for that one lost sheep and leaves the other 99. Often we tend to wander, especially when left without counsel, wisdom or instruction, to ourselves. All the more we need one another, and to help Pastor Tim, Pastor Dale and Pastor Jon to do the work the Lord is expecting out of us. To Him, be the praise, and the glory, and Honor, forever and ever Amen. May we reach the dissenters and still manage to keep others in the fold who feel lost and forgotten. Not an easy task, are you up to it??? :)
