We did this journey from Chitrakote to Kanger valley which is around 55 km, This tour is about South Chhattisgarh Bastar district.
Tour dates - Last week of feb to first week of march.. To be precise, we started from Raipur on 26th feb and reached back Raipur after Bastar tour on 4th march 2022
We visited the Kanger Valley national park - Jeep charges with 6 passenger Rs 1500, which takes about 2 hours of time. In which you will get to see the Kanger Dhara & Kotumsar cave.
During 16th June to 31st Oct kanger valley is closed for tourists.
In Kotumsar cave you will get to see the natural rock formations of stalagmite & stalactite.
We had lunch near Tirathgarh falls - Chawal Bhaja, Laal Saag, Dal, Chapda Chutney (Red ant chutney) Rakhiya badi, Dona purga (Chicken prepared in leafs) Dhaba owner Danku Bhai 9399218042
Tirathgarh Falls - To reach the falls you need to walk downwards around 150 stairs. Height of this falls is around 300 feet. During monsoon you would see the giant view of this falls. There are 3 levels. It is must visit place if you are visiting chitrakote falls, you must come here as well. It is located on munga bahar river.
Sanjivani forest shop at Sanjay Market in Jagdalpur - We had purchased Forest Honey 500 gm - Rs 260, Sittopladi - Rs 85, Sardi Khansi nashak Churan - Rs 65 & Chawanprash 500 gm - Rs 245, Mahua cookies - Rs 60
We also visited a handicraft shop in jagdalpur, which has wide variety of dokra artwork, wrought iron.
After that we saw a chariot which is used during Bastar dussehra festival near maa danteshwari temple.
