LMFAOOOOO. I agree with you about Med Surg. I am a full-time ER nurse, but I work at another hospital as a Float pool nurse. When I go to the med surg units I go "HERE WE FUCKING GO with the BS." All the patients you described was spot on. Crying laughing!!!!!!!
I liked oncology, but after 2 years left cuz it was sad and I needed a change. I tried med-surg and HATED that. Now I work in independent/ RCAC assisted living and love it. My mom was a nurse for 40 years and worked many areas as well. She landed in an orthopedic clinic and loved it. You just need to find your niche! Love you!❤
What city and state do you currently work in, and what type of nursing are you actually specializing in ? Or, are you just floating thru different departments ? Have you ever considered travel nursing ? How long have you been in the field of nursing ?
Med-surge has to be the worst floor I've worked on. Just left a med-surge telemetry floor after 6 month's. I was also working nights. I am totally burnt out...now looking for an outpatient position. Pray for me.
Sending prayers, positive energy and positive vibes! Wow 6 months in med tele is no joke! Congratulations, you should be proud of yourself! Bedside is wild and everyone has a story to tell about it! Hope you find the outpatient job and you love it!
