Hey there fellow moto enthusiasts, it's Big Iron Moto coming to you from the legendary Sunday Creek Raceway in Millfield, Ohio, home to the John Penton GNCC. I've been given an incredible opportunity to test-ride the 2024 KTM Enduro range before its official launch. Engineered with 95% new components, these machines are designed to redefine the enduro landscape. So, buckle up and join me as we explore their revolutionary new frame, groundbreaking suspension, sleek bodywork, LED headlight, and industry-defining tech. Ready to see some limits redefined? Let's ride! 🏍💨
KTM, with over 30 years of racing prowess and a whopping 126+ World Enduro titles, continues to be the enduro juggernaut. The 2024 KTM Enduro range is proof of KTM's relentless quest for innovation and improvement.
The 2024 models have an all-new hydro-formed, laser-cut, and robot-welded frame, delivering unparalleled rider feedback and stability. I personally felt the difference in longitudinal and torsional flex parameters, enhancing the riding experience in ways I hadn't imagined possible.
Suspension-wise, these bikes boast a new 48 mm WP XACT Closed Cartridge spring fork. The revised mid-valve piston concept optimizes oil flow within the cartridge. The revamped PDS shock system works in perfect harmony with the new frame concept.
KTM has also designed a new lightweight 2-piece subframe and integrated an Offroad Control Unit. As a rider, you'll appreciate the outstanding handling and easy access to all electronic components. The new bodywork provides an improved rider triangle for better knee contact when standing on the pegs.
The new front fender design with mud-repelling fins is a game-changer. Coupled with a clear polythene fuel tank for easy fuel level monitoring, these are some practical improvements that any enduro rider will appreciate. A standalone OCU under the seat simplifies troubleshooting on the trail.
When it comes to engines, the 2-stroke range steals the show, introducing the Throttle Body Injection tech (TBI). This delivers near-carburetor smoothness of power delivery and eliminates the need for re-jetting at different altitudes. The reed valve case design has also been updated to improve fuel sealing, avoiding fuel excess in extreme slopes.
The 4-stroke models offer massive torque down low and explosive power at higher RPMs. They've improved handling and maneuverability through adjustments in the engine and front sprocket position. And for the first time, the 2024 KTM 450 XCF-W model introduces an optional Traction Control and the groundbreaking Quickshifter function!
The 2024 KTM Enduro range is a testament to KTM's commitment to excellence in Enduro competition. They've seamlessly blended performance, ergonomics, and technology to redefine limits and take on any terrain.
As always, KTM's global dealer network ensures support and parts are readily available. Plus, KTM PowerWear and KTM PowerParts are designed to maximize performance, protection, and mobility.
Starting from June, the all-new 2024 KTM XC-W and XCF-W range will be available at authorized KTM dealers. The dual-sport KTM EXC-F models will follow in August. For more info on pricing and availability, check out KTM's website.
Stay tuned to Big Iron Moto for more hands-on reviews, in-depth ride experiences, and tips and tricks in the world of enduro. If you like what you see

Great review Sean! Thanks for taking us along for the ride. What are your thoughts on the 300 xcw TBI vs the previous TPI set up? Any preference on one over the other?
@BigIronMoto
@BigIronMoto Год назад
TBI is flawless. Love it. My TPI works really well too but the TBI is as good of response I have ever felt on a bike.

Love to try the 150. Probably the 250 2 stroke as well to compare to my ec 250.

New to your channel. Howdy. Great video. (C-rider here) I’ve only been riding since 2019 then bought a 2021 after bikes took over my life. I would like to ask…is this bike the most anticipated release or what? Seems everyone is talking about it….Including myself. I’ve been waiting on my TE300 for about 2 months. One just rolled in. Within 10 minutes someone put a deposit down. I got notified around the 20 minute mark. There was confusion blah blah. But a twist…they won’t be able to release to new owner due to an embargo so it’s staying at the dealer till August🤷🏻‍♂️ no battery in it. Said they aren’t allowed to turn them on🤷🏻‍♂️. Shit. Now I have to rebuild mine to finish the season.

Nice post. Waiting for my 23 350xcf FE. So this new update is only for the W models correct. As the xcw in 23 was not updated to the new frame and chassis? Nothing new on a 24 xcf?
@BigIronMoto
@BigIronMoto Год назад
XCF is all new for 24 as well. I tested an XCW-F 450 and it was also completely redesigned.

Was really looking for comments on the 450..
@BigIronMoto
@BigIronMoto 3 месяца назад
Happy to answer anything I remember about it. I did ride the 450 and found it really nice. Torque felt great and 4T power made it extremely smooth through the trails. My first choice would be a 300XCW but that is only because I like doing hard enduro and having the lightness of the 2T is my preference. HOWEVER, if I was buying a bike as a guide or general trail riding, I would probably get the 450. I really liked the 450.

Manuals are all online and it will show stock and recommended springs for weight. Stock ranges between 165-185 I believe.

I don’t see why they would any more than any of their previous models. I have had a tpi for 100 hours and it is flawless. TBI is even better and not as lean.

150 is great. TBI has excellent throttle response and two maps make it nice for mild and more committed riding.

Does the 250 feel more nimble than the 300? Heard people pick 250 over 300 because of the handling.
@BigIronMoto
@BigIronMoto 3 месяца назад
I wouldn't describe it that way. It is smoother at most people's riding pace with may translate into feeling "nimble". The 250 is a great bike. If you aren't competing or doing really wild stuff on the trails, the 250 is a perfect bike.

Hows the power on the 150?
@BigIronMoto
@BigIronMoto Год назад
Good for a 150. TBI and maps helps a lot with power distribution. Not enough power for my style of riding and racing but a great bike for someone who likes something more mellow or a light rider.

As a 225lb beginner rider, I’ve ridden the 300xc and it felt like way too much bike for me to handle. I’m looking at buying the 150 xc-w, but I keep getting told I’m too big for the 150. Would a 250xc-w be better for me? Or should I be okay on the 150. I want something that I can get into the powerband without feeling like it’s trying to kill me. I like to ride single track and rough enduro kind of riding.
@BigIronMoto
@BigIronMoto 2 месяца назад
Try to 300 XCW first. The XC model is tuned for racing so it is a way different ride than an XCW. The XCW (even the 300) is much smoother and will not put you in a wheelie when you give it gas. You may also want to consider a 500 EXC-F (four stroke) as it is also extremely smooth. I agree with other that the 150 is not your bike. Don't focus too much on the CC, the biggest issue is how they are tuned. A motocross 125 would be more dangerous for you than a 500 EXC or 300 XCW model ranges.

@@BigIronMoto quick update, Ive gotten way more comfortable on that 2020 300xc and have grown to love it after riding it everyday for a month, now my question is how much snappier is the ‘24 250xcw compared to the 300xcw. I’ve heard some things about the 300 “feeling slower” in the top end, where as the 250 requires you to be on the pipe a little more. I’m starting to lean towards the 250 if I’m being honest. It has reasonable bottom end, and pretty strong top end which is what I like.
@BigIronMoto
@BigIronMoto 2 месяца назад
@@joshmullins9634 The XC is far more peppy and race oriented. The XCW is mellow, low power, excellent for trail riding and harder terrain. It depends a lot on your riding style. If you want to race, then go XC, if you want to trail ride, then go XCW. Either way, I would go 300 as the new TBI 300 has very smooth. linear power so it is there if you need it, but does not feel twitchy (like the XC). Hope that helps.

@BigIronMoto

They are a different line and were not profiled in in this debut. They are all XC line. I do own a 350 XCF Factory and it is incredible. That is the bike I use for XC racing. Insanely fast and capable.
