This was another wonderful podcast, Tash. Sound was perfect. Snow Wonder is beautiful, perfect colour. I really like the tee with the clovers. Your socks are perfect, beautiful pattern. You have so many WIPs!! I don't know how you do so much knitting. Good for you to get some R&R time. Looking forward to the retreat! Have a great week.
Oh my goodness Tash, sooooo much knitting gorgeousness in this episode!!! Your snow wonder especially looks fabulous! I love Two Purls and a Pod as well! It’s always a bonus to find Australian knitting podcasts! 😃 I watched ‘Bringing up Baby’ after you’d mentioned it, so madcap! Then I watched Joan Crawford’s Strait Jacket and it scared the daylights out of me!!!😱🤣
Another great vlog Tash. Loving your wips The snowflake jumper is a beaut ❤ I’ve read lessons in chemistry. Absolutely loved it and have recommended it to so many people Off to investigate the other vloggers mentioned 🙋🏼🏴
I watched that amazing Fruity Knitting episode and immediately added Instant Crush to my queue. Also, about to start Fjolla with the same MYak. Almost finished with the gorgeous Smilga shawl using that MYak. It's dreamy to work with. Thank you again for a terrific podcast.
Love your Snow wonder. I have also been watching Two Purls in a Pod, I really enjoy a lot of different knitting Chanel’s from across the world but as you say the Aussie ones are much more relevant to my knitting, both for yarn and design choices. The sound was much better btw. Have a great week.
Your Snow Wonder is so beautiful! It looks machine knit, and I mean that as a compliment. All of your projects are beautifully made. I appreciate your explanations of your mods and also your opinions of the yarns used.
I enjoy all your podcasts and always look forward to the next one. If you are looking for suggestions for your tutorial podcasts, I can suggest one showing how you pick up the underarm sleeve stitches to avoid the holes that can happen on each side. I noticed when you show all your finished garments how nice and neat your underarm stitches are. Also, love your taste in the patterns you like and your yarn choice. Thank you, and happy knitting, Lorraine Dupont
Thank you so much Lorraine. I have actually done a video on picking up the underarm stitches. Here is a link. Hope you find it helpful. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-86Rpy7R02CU.htmlsi=5tH3w5zjWnVkVG6l
That bobbly jumper looks lovely on you and the colour really suits you. Sound was perfect - no crackling! Loving your podcast and your enthusiasm. Keep knitting!
Thank you very much Tash for yet another lovely podcast. When I miss your podcast during the week while waiting for the new one, I love watching your older episodes 😊. Your Snow wonder looks amazing, it really suits you 😍.
It’s been so lovely to catch up with you Tash! Your sweater WIPs are so inspiring and I particularly love your magnolia bloom and the Charisma and think they’ll be moving up the queue! Too many beautiful patterns and never enough knitting time!
Hi Tash, snow wonder looks absolutely amazing, that colour is just perfect 💪🏻 love all the wips. Sit, read, tv, knit doesn’t get any better! OMG I can’t believe the price of the ear piercing 😳 insane! Have a great week and thanks for keeping me company while I knit and kind of stop and start working at home. People need to stop emailing me, I’m knitting!!! Enjoy the weekend, Karen 🥰
Hi Tash. A great episode as always. I love all the info you give about your knits with the gauge and little tweaks you do. Anyway onto what I really wanted to say. I’ve recently made the champagne cardigan and I’m so disappointed with mine. It’s much much to big and I think I’ll end up frogging it. However I subscribe to Handmade by Florence podcast she has a few free patterns out, she recently did a raglan cardigan and does a full tutorial to make it from start to finish. Which is a great resource for any wanting to have a go. She knits a double knit button band but how she knits her button holes is amazing. No having to break yarn and rejoin and weaving in ends etc. the episode in question is the cardigan tutorial. Thanks again for your time. 😀😀
Hi Michelle. Thank you so much for that information about regarding Florence's podcast and the information she has regarding making a cardigan with a double knit button band. I'll definitely check that out. Sorry to hear your Champagne cardigan has ended up too oversized. I hope you are able to turn the yarn into something you are happier wearing.
Your podcast is by far my favorite. I was wondering if you will be doing a tutorial on the double knitting band. I have seen a few sweaters with that band but have never done it before. I love the color of your Magnolia Bloom and Snow Wonder is gorgeous. Enjoy this coming weekend with Beck. Looking forward to seeing you both in the next video. Btw, the sound was fine-no crackling. ❤
Thank you so much Maryann. I can definitely do a tutorial on doing the double knit button band. Thanks for the feedback on the sound. I am really glad that has been sorted. x
I love Two Purls in a Pod. Found them and went back and watched from their first episode. They are lovely to watch and I enjoy your podcast as much as theirs. I learn a lot and you’ve piqued my interest in so many new patterns! Knitting and Olympic watching rocks my days lately!
Thanks for another wonderful podcast. Your Beenie may qualify as a safety accessory when hiking 😂. Beautiful. I enjoy Two Purls in a Pod as well, they are a joy. 👩🌾🐑
Thank you so much for yet another wonderful podcast. 😊 I get so excited when I realize that you have posted another podcast. You are such a good knitter. We seem to gravitate toward the same patterns. Have a good few weeks knitting.
Sound was excellent. I love the Magnolia Bloom colour. The only Olympic event I watch is women's soccer, cheering for Canada. Isn't it great to knit, watch something you love, and, for me, drink a hot chocolate with Bailey's if it isn't too hot out.
Hot chocolate with Baileys sounds delicious. Have to give that a try. Thank so much for the feedback on the sound and the lovely comment on Magnolia Bloom. :)
😮The Snow Wonder looks good on you and the colour suits you. I have never knitted socks and I don't think I want to though. The Magnolia Bloom looks so good and the colour is great The Charisma knit is a lovely colour and it looks good. The knits you currently busy with are well chosen. The red skimmer socks are you going to add other colours to this knit. How many Musselburgh have you knitted in the past 12 months. I am doing better. And I started doing little things around the house. Take care Tash ❤😊
Thanks so much Rosemary. I am glad to hear you are doing better. No need to knit socks if they dont excite you. Plenty of other beautiful things to knit. xx
Hello, very impressed with how many WIPs you have going at this time. They are all lovely. I’m wondering if you could show us a tutorial on tubular cast on and bind off? I’d love to see how that is done, and why it’s important to do Thank you 😊
Thanks Lidija Actually, I have tutorials on these Tubular cast on using Judy's magic cast on ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yPHicCzJC-k.htmlsi=7NM614DLKRrPr0YY Tubular cast on with YOs ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fXZOOgiJYp4.htmlsi=WsxggNJzbxkSySNC Tubular bind off ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-x6lVFMhHhWM.htmlsi=50awLh7Uh0TucogB
Love your observations. Impressive stats, such as number of days on your needles. I never count, since I have at least 2, usually 3 WIPs. How do you count your rows when walking? Wondered this when you showed your Musselburg...beautiful color! Cheers from California.
Thank you so much. I either use a row counter like the one from Twice Sheare Sheep that has numbers on it and you move it up one each row, or i put stitch markers onto the fabric of the work. :)
So many great knits, and each one more beautiful than the others! I am very curious to know how you keep all of your WIP’s going along at the same time? I’m a monogamous knitter. Mostly because I learned a long time ago that if I put something down before it’s finished I won’t pick it up again 😢. Do you keep to a schedule? Like knitting on a different project everyday day, or a little on each project everyday. Or do you just knit on what is calling to you? Thanks for another great video.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments. It can be hard when i want to work on everything at the same time. Often it is dictated by what else i want to do at the same time and what fits best with that activity regarding whether i need to pay attention or look at my knitting. Other times i get carried away like with Magnolia Bloom and i want to get past the yoke etc. I do try to move around a bit - kind of like a builder managing a number of projects at once and having to keep all their customers happy - each one getting to see some progress on their build. ;)
Thank you for a lovely episode! You are inspiring! I just knitted a Magnolia and i also do knit a black Ankers. I have a norwegian podcast ☺️ STRIKKESNAKK med Sylvi fra sørlandet
