At 6:10 what is the purpose of that dowel pin? Is it really needed? I'm missing mine. Can I do without it?

Dowel pins keep the cases from moving after heating up. So yes, they must be there

What brand of gaskets are you using? Also, what starter and starter relay would you recommend ?

Stupidlegos Vortex bottom End gasket kit, and I’m keeping the stock starter/relay. Should work just fine.

It’s my first time taking my 660 completely apart any advice ? The only thing I don’t plan on replacing that’s big is the crank. Thanks

Stupidlegos I would try and buy an original service Manuel. The clymer one leaves a lot to be desired. Take your time, and don’t hesitate to call your local service department. Good luck! Exciting stuff!
