I've got the F7 (fullsize) and it has all-metal construction and feels great, really disappointing that they cut that corner with this one. I agree about some of the effects as well, very annoyed that there's a separate flash for red, green, and blue when that could've been one RGB effect. The candlelight effect is really artificial as well. Otherwise though it's a fantastic light, better than the Mini from what I can see here. Thanks for reviewing it Dave, looks like a great option for the right market.

I think so. There was a cooking reality show or two I worked on where I feel DP’s didn’t mind the green of the fluorescents overhead that I could see this working in tandem with. They were using some “yoguono”(SP) type lights. Can’t really remember the brand but they were wands that a few reality shows used at the time. This is also like 8ish years ago

What’s the Lux measurement for the RGB in 1 meter without diffusion? Would useful information since most of viewers would probably use its RGB functions the most. Thank you!

Hahaha ya know I was just thinking about this like 2 days ago, that I always measure the main color temps and not the RGB portion. Although I’m wondering what the best way to do that is since there’s a bunch of colors. Like do I measure red, green, and blue and assume the lux between certain colors. Got a suggestion?

Thank you for this detailed review, it answered all my questions! So if I understood correctly, once I uncheck the light in the menu, it will desynch and lost the settings I made with the disconnected device? Plus in the menu can I first set the CCT then the RGB? Thank you in advance!

This is a lumu power. I’d like to get a Sekonic some day. It’s a really cool meter and all. I just have to disassemble my phone case every time I use it.
