Hi Jack! We were going through the ICW to the free docks in Jacksonville, and decided to keep going - we were in low tide and just north of there we ran aground for about 15 seconds - Chris was patient and let it float off the ground and we were back! It just means we need to pay very close attention in low tide! Luckily it was a soft ground so we didn't do any damage! thanks for watching! 🙂

Wife and I had an early anniversary trip to Darien, Ga Easter weekend. Went to Jekyll (cousin has house there) to visit and look for burgees at the marina. There were 3, but looking at one boat and the owners popped out, invited us on board for a tour. They are getting ready to start their loop soon. Mainship 34 I believe. Anyway, you are probably experiences those awful tides in the area. 7 to 8 foot between high and low an 3 to 4 knot currents. Need to really plan travel in the area.
Hello, YES you are so correct - we have to plan around tides, currents and wind! It's definitely different than where we come from in Texas! We are learning so much about it and how to navigate this area! Thanks for watching! 🙂
