Oh Kevin! It is so nice to have you back on Saturday! The cabin is really coming along nicely. You have a great talent and a ingratiating personality. Your wife is a knockout!!
Kevin, your channel is amazing and slowly becoming my Go To for future projects. Someday hope to use your videos to build a Cabin, a Pizza Oven, an outdoor hottub, maybe a sauna too. If you were ever in alberta, id gladly give you our indoor Jacuzzi tub. Plenty full sized for 1-2 people, the jets just plug into a normal plug in.
You have taught me more about handyman work in a year of watching than my dad did in my whole 18 years of living at home with him haha. I appreciate you for that
The chainsaw bit at the end, "This is sketchy, don't try this at home.", sent me into a true LOL, Kevin, everything you do is sketchy but here you are every week, and it works!
Every day working on the cabin is one day closer to getting done. Always enjoy seeing Rachel pop up on your channel. Looks like you got a haircut. Maybe I’m wrong but it looks nice. Got a little late start watching your video but truly always enjoy them. Thanks for doing this Kevin. Take care.
you make everything interesting, I miss Don helping you. You were making me sick moving around so much. Do enjoy your channel and the things you come up with, keep it up. THANKS.
Yep, I also skip through the GoPro head-mount footage. It actually makes me dizzy and sick to my stomach. It’s a shame he won’t consider changing the way he films because I love his channel otherwise.
Diablo is a Milwaukee brand. I've used a cordless sawzall from them for about 15 years. Lost the blade guard and locked up the blade release a few times (cutting roots). It's still running strong.
If it's getting hot, change the brushes, That should help and should also extend the life of the saw. If you change them before you let the smoke out of the motor.
Hi Kevin, hi Frankie, hi Mrs Kevin. I like light bathrooms. I hate going to bathrooms other than my own so if I was to use a different bathroom it needs to be as light as possible so I can check out corners for spiders or lurking things or dirt. Children also mostly don't like dark bathrooms
I bought a pallet breaker and then a bar to get leverage. I also had Diablo blades for metal and my Sawzall. Cutting the nails is definitely easier and can reduce the work.
Really like the high mount window idea. Hope you get the cistern house side insulated before winter, so your water doesn't freeze. Your videos are a joy to watch. Thank You From Pueblo Colorado
Kevin deoblo demo skillsaw and sawzall blades are the only blades I use they last 5 tines longer and if you do hit something they are 9 times out of 10 they are just fine. I have cut gang nails with a new blade and finished the framing of house with no problem.
Really good video Kevin. That auger you have definitely seems to save you a lot of work and back aches! I agree with you on the savings. Any time you can save money on things is good in my book! You definitely built the cabin very well seeing how you had to remove part of the outside for the bathroom. Was cool to see you and Rachel talking about the cabin. Always a good thing getting her opinion on things! Respect the attention to detail that you do man! By the way like when you talk as you go, very informative, I think. Good job with the chain saw man on dealing with the roof for the bathroom! Looking forward to your next one. Take care.
I see you do all your quirky non standard projects and take your skills for granted. Then I see you do framing and I remember just how good you are. I'm glad you made the bathroom larger. You can put a little wood stove in so the room can be easily heated for bath time. Addition rooms tend to be cooler since they are far from the central fire place.
Yo Kev, ya have a tractor w/a pto... 3pt pto augers used are cheaper than the Makita power unit. And ya get to sit on your arse controlling the 3pt lift. njoy.
Built my whole cabin/ studio out of repurposed wood and windows, built the whole thing for less then 2;000. It is definitely worth it, I could have never afforded it.
The process of my projects goes pretty much the same way the majority of the time in a solo way. My project is to finish framing in my basement. My only hang-up this year was bicep surgery that put a pause on my progress. I'm going to resume soon with you as an inspiration. Thanks again for making these videos, whether by yourself or with your family and friends .
Thanks for sharing the build. Always enjoy it. Maybe sans Go Pro in the future. I don’t want to mess up the play time credit for you but having to skip those parts. Making me dizzy. Can’t wait to see the finished cabin and bath extension. It’s going to be beautiful.
I enjoy your channel so much that I watch it on my tv (not signed in to my RU-vid account), while playing the video on my tablet (signed in to my RU-vid account). I always give it a 'like' and will start leaving a comment after each video. I hope this helps your channel thrive.
