We've got a great classic episode of EP this week, kicking things off with Tommy Tallarico's visit to Namco in San Jose, California to get caught up on Tekken 3 for the PlayStation! Tommy chats with associate producer, Brian Schorr, about the hit fighting game.
Afterward, Kelly Benson chats with passersby about their thoughts on Tekken.
Then Tommy races to Heat HQ to get the latest on Net Fighter with producer, Erik Wahlberg, who also does his best to "train" Tommy to be a competent fighter in real life.
After the break we visit Playmates Interactive Entertainment in Irvine, California and Tommy talks with Adrenix producer, Carlos Rodriguez about the game. Then Tommy and MDK producer, David Hoffman get yelled at by security while they dig into the PlayStation port of the hit Shiny Entertainment title. Then Tommy chats with president Gary Rosenfeld about the toy company's foray into games.
The Electric Playground then makes a stop at Electronic Arts in San Mateo, California, to dig into the details of NCAA March Madness '98. Tommy interviews Mike Lampelle, development director, Mitzi McGilvray, producer, and Tony Lupidi, the art director. We also hear from Kate Starbird, from the Seattle Reign, Evan Hirsch, EA's MoCap studio director, Curtis Townsend, head coach of East Kentucky and Tim Duncan from the San Antonio Spurs.
After the break Kelly stops people to ask them about everybody's favorite Nintendo dinosaur, Yoshi!
Then Victor Lucas talks with Nintendo Super Agents, Alan Belardinelli and Tom Davis; and also Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo's game god, about Yoshi's Story. Meanwhile Kelly talks with Ron Bertram, director of communications from Nintendo of Canada.
Then it's time for Tyrone's Tip of the Week, starring Tyrone Rodriguez from Tips & Tricks Magazine.
