EP1: BLANK KITE TEST with Youri Zoon (Freeride) 

Awesome concept. It is very bad that only 4 brands accepted the challenge. I’d like to see all the major brands compared, including f-one, core, Duotone. And reedin too.

Watching Youri is like "I can do backroll but I wish I could do this with that amount of steez and control" 😂 Absolute joy to watch him riding and talking about kites. Super excited for next episodes.

FANTASTIC concept - the first truly honest reviews! I would love to see a big-air focused episode with the orbit, rebel, dice and rise.

High Aspect - Big air kite blind test! Rebel, Orbit, Rise, Edge, XR7, etc

For future add some 2nd tier lower priced kites. Would be nice to see how they do in a blind test.

As a consumer, genuine thanks to the brands for sticking their neck out and participating. Shows you back your product and are open to feedback. On that point, Youri’s feedback is exactly what made me buy an Ozone! Looking forward to seeing this evolve with different riders at different levels in different conditions 🤙🏾

I remember when I tried the Enduro, the difference when changing bridle setup was massive. Kite goes from wrist breaker to rubbery soft bar feel. It's fair tho that it was tested on factory settings. Bring on the Pivot

You should add an average Joe tester alongside the pro. I reckon feedback would be more applicable to the wider community

nice concept! I would really love to see the F-One Bandit in there as they always market that kite as the ultimate one fits all freeride kite. would be interesting if it holds up against Youri's taste of freeride ;-)

This is the type of content I'm been waiting for! 🥳 Super interesting and fun to watch. Get more of the pro's to do this tests. Would be even better to do the test in strong to very strong winds. Looked like he was underpowered on all kites Please include Ozone Edgev11 at some point. Another fun test would to get big a pro to try foilkites in strong winds. Ozone R1 V4 Vs Flysurfer Sonic3. .

The enduro feels more like an unhooked-focused kite like the RPM/Dice than a freeride kite. I think the Catalyst is more Ozone's freeride kite, but I imagine they chose which kite they wanted you to test so it's on them.

What a great concept and what a good video. Keep up with this great work. But wow, Adrian is a big dude. He tower Yuri by quite a margin. As for the freeride kite have in future test : Evo, Pivot, Supermodel, RS, Rally GT, Bandit, Takoon Furia, Moto, Nexus. Main problem will be the bar for the Duotone, Core and F-One as they use a high Y for the front line.

Naish, Core are the most popular where I kite, followed by slingshot, duotone. And Core kites are popular worldwide so it would be cool to see them in test

Great concept, but the Ozones are flown on a Sk99 and a thicker bar due to the fact it has no pulleys, they fly bad on the sentry bar, also looks like you had one of the bridle points attached at freeride and one freestyle ooops

This concept is really an awesome idea, it would be great to extend it to other kites and other pro-riders ! I agree that the addition of a few "cheaper kites" (Switch Kite, Takoon) could be interesting as, these kite suffer from bad press (I feel mostly related to price and direct sale model), so it would be great to see what pro have to say about them (as they usualy have limited pro-riders)

[SPOILER ALERT] As soon as you change 1 thing from a kite it flies completely different to the stock models. Changing that OR Aluulaa to dacron makes it a completely different kite than the original kite. Not to forget the canopy materials & Dacron used makes a HUGE difference. Also Stiffness from the canopy material which is regulated trough coating etc. It's simply not possible to test the kites as blank as they did here. Something as small as the bridle line used can make a HUGE difference. The only blank testing you can do without actually compromising too much of a kites actual performance is taking off the print. That's about it :) Sorry guys! Really nice try and nicely filmed but it cannot be done as you are doing it now ;) FYI just spend 2 years on this matter designing kites ^^ We did 1 kite which had only different canopy material (same production batch, same dacron, same bridle, same bladders) and it flew TERRIBLE. Maybe ask friend of the Show Dave Kay what he says on it. he's the Jedi of materials as you know haha FYI -> Youri knows his stuff ^^

Interessting video, even if you often can reconize a kite model with its shape & bridle. It would be great if other brand as Reedin, fone, naish, eleveight, could play the game as well.

Great idea and video Only thing some kites don’t work well if used with a bar from a different manufacturer, but obviously using the bar from the kite brand would give away which kite you were using

Not fair. You should have used the Ozone Edge V11. Enduro V3 is a FANTASTIC kite but its not freeride/big air like the other kites in the test.
