This is why I love Xiang Liu. He always shows up at the right time. It doesn't matter where Xiaoyao is or whether she's happy or sad. He makes things just right. He's that person that it doesn't matter what type of situation you are in he's going to be there to make you feel better.
Same here. They are heart connected and he does show up for her always. She doesn't know it but his love is the deepest (in my opinion). I love that he got her to laugh.
I love this demon so much. It is wonderful they are showing this side of him joking with her to make her laugh. His comment "I got carried away", lol. We humans are like that. Whenever I feel bad about something I remember how much so many people suffer and tell myself to count my blessings. It works and quickly.
Who won’t fall in love with a person likes Xiang Liu. He has never put the others down even though he is magically powerful and can just eliminate whoever oppose him. Instead, he always reasonable, thoughtful, caring and disciplined. The way he points out for Xiao Yao to trust her mother’s choice to love Chi-Chen said it all. He helps eliminate doubts about what’s kind of person Xiao Yao’s father was. Xiang Liu never once made Xiao Yao felt like he is better than her or anyone. He is humble and keep himself low key. He doesn’t need to be a hero when he has been helping her for countless times. He put love and care for Xiao Yao and don’t ask anything in return. He eliminates the potential debts that Xiao Yao shall owe him when he helps her out each time. It’s pitiful, but it comes from his sincerity and caring. We shall call it “True Love”.
The scenes that were “robbed” are the following: 1) XL reflection in XY's eyes. 2) XL forhead kiss. 3) XY running her hand through XL's hair. 4) XY telling XL to be more careful, CX guards are probably looking for her. 5) Jing who didn't even know how to confort XY, stalking in the background as usual. 6) Jing helps XL escape by making a mist. 7) Jing thanking XL for making XY happy again, BUT XL laughs at him saying he didn't want his thank you.
In the original book, there are many romantic scenes between Xiang Liu & Xian Yao, but the scenes have been stolen. Also the book xian yao chooses jing in the last episodes. Unfortunately, the movie was released from the original work. I think it was because the other characters did not attract much attention.
If anyone's curious to find out the original story behind Xiaoyao's parents, you can watch the 2017's "A lifetime love," which is a prequel to this show. Here's a summary of that story: In short, Xiaoyao's mother was the princess of Xuan, and her father was famous demon general Chi Chen of Chenrong (similar to what Xiang liu is), Xiaoyao's mother had a marriage alliance with The King of Haoling (Xiaoyao's stepdad) but unexpectedly both Chi Chen and Xiaoyao's mother fell in love with each other despite being a part of opposing kingdoms. Later, her mother decides to marry the king of haoling due to her role as a princess of Xiyan. Although King of Haoling is also in love with her but they both treat the marriage only as an alliance. Soon, she gives birth to a daughter, Xiaoyao, who is believed to be the daughter of King Of Haoling even by Chi chen because she seals the flower pattern on Xiaoyao's forehead, the only way to identify that she is chi chen's daughter. Later on, when the battle between Xiyan and Chenrong is imminent, she tells Chi chen about him being Xiaoyao's father as she fears that if something happens to her atleast Chi chen would know that Xiaoyao is his daughter and then they both decide to face each other on the battlefield. During the battle, Chi chen sacrifices himself for the sake of protecting Xiaoyao's mother and dies within her arms. In his last minutes, he tells her that when their daughter will grow up and would know that her father was a demonic general, she will surely hate him, but he would like her to know that he felt lucky to have a daughter like her and loved her very much. At last, Xiaoyao's mother entrusts Xiaoyao to her stepdad as he ensures her that he will treat Xiaoyao as her own daughter.
Jing is a sweet guy. But Xiang Liu was the best match for her. They could have lived in the small village, raise small xiang lius, bicker like old married couples 😅 Xiang Liu could get fish 🎣 from sea and bring home. They could watch the sunset together. It would have been a perfect family 😢 Xiang Liu can protect his family.
