Yu Tu is probably the most realistic male lead character of all of Gu Man's novel that I have read. That's why I love him so much. Not one of those godlike characters of the other novels. He has his own failures, hesitations, hurts and struggles that makes him infinitely more human, more relatable and more realistic. And I think Yang Yang portrayed him great.
@@margabobis3150 First time was in high school, I believe during this time, Yu Tu wanted "smarter" girlfriend, who is also an idealist, has goals and a bit more ambitious. The second time would be later on, after the game competition, in which, he felt low self-esteem, when it comes to JingJing. Esp.with JingJing's job which is famous actress, loved by her fans, with ex-boyfriend famous financier. They are just in different strata, economically and academically. Yu Tu is a logical person and a pragmatist. After knowing her the second time, he kind of realize that JingJing is really a kind and down-to-earth type of girl. But he knows if they are together, there would be so many obstacles. I'd say..after finishing the book, JingJing really gives him so many chances. Good thing, he finally got his act together.
@@margabobis3150 The first time in highschool, his reason was he wanted someone who can grow with him. I think he means someone along the same line in career and life goal as himself. That's the reason why I think he was with another top-notcher classmates throughout college. The second time was that Yu Tu was at the crossroads of his life. He wanted to quit his dream job because he was very disillusioned. He was looking for job because in essence he was jobless. And here's Jing Jing, very successful in her chosen career, rich, beautiful and love by all. He was insecure. He thinks he's not equal to her and does not deserve her.
From the previews it looks like they’re falling the novel exactly. I’m so happy because that means we won’t get any unnecessary ex boyfriend/girlfriend drama or any stupid misunderstandings, it’s just a realistic romantic drama with likeable mature characters
Couldnt bare to see Yu Tu so heartbroken even though he rejected her again, when he knows with all his heart he wanted to accept and be with her, but he chose to let her go instead. When it comes to love, money should never be a factor. I love the fact that he told his EX off because she was criticizing Jing Jing.. and you can tell he was holding it until he couldn't bare it anymore..
That was so sad when they split but afterwards there are more sweet moments and a beautiful love story! I hope they stick to the novel and so far, it has been awesome! Such chemistry between the leads! Loving it!🧡🧡
It will stick to the novel. This is the faith that I have for Gu Man. Almost all her novels, when they're adapted to drama, they keep loyal to the source. It's not weird, considering Gu Man also become the script writer of those dramas. Gu Man really did good service to her fans. By becoming the scriptwriter of her own novels, she has the full controls of how the story comes to live on the small screen. If I'm not mistaken, she also had her share when deciding who actors/actress that would become the male lead. Her novels: Silent Separation, Boss & Me (ShanShan Comes to Eat), Love O2O are all my favorites to this date. Side-eyed and deep sigh over General and I and the Legend of Fei...Examples of hot mess of drama adapted from novels. I still regret over the waste of Wallace Chung in General and I. I couldn't stand it, dropped it only after 2 episodes.
My favourite part when QJJ sings thinking that she is going to get YT in trouble during the game.. it so so so cute and sweet. 1st was already so good and I finished watching the whole 8 ep in one night when it was first released. Already repeated god knows how many times. Finished reread of the novel like 3 times because its too sweet
@@lynk8435 Love O2O, Silent Separation and Boss & Me (Shan Shan Comes to Eat) are all Gu Man's novels. And I believe when she sold the copyright to make dramas out of her novels, she would become the scriptwriter of that drama as well. Not to mention, she could decide which actors/actress to play the male/female lead. That is why, for me, her name is certifiable for lovable novels and lovable dramas.
This film make me very suprise which yang yang ‘s acting . I had read novel before . he show truly the yu tu's emotion which feeling impotent when he can't accept Jing Jing’s love. Love yang yang and dilraba . They have tried act well by their ability.❤️❤️❤️ Fan from Viet Nam
You're right... I'm very surprised seeing how perfect Yang Yang portrays all Yu Tu's emotions. Whenever Yu Tu by himself, with no one's around, you can see his torn and over-thinking expressions. As if he was shrouded by this depressed feelings. It was heartbreaking.
I know, right? Everytime he is alone, then you can see this deep sadness and depression drapes all over him. I can understand, it's not just a matter of changing jobs, but more like choosing between your responsibility and your dreams. Which in my country, there is a term of simalakama fruit. If you eat it, your mother will die. If you don't eat it, your father will die. Either way, whichever option you take, you are doomed.
Super nakaka kilig.. kung na panood muna ung ep.12 , you can read the novel in chapter 22 (ep.12) 23 (ep. 13) . Pero nakaka kilig parin mag start from chapter 1. Worth it
Honestly speaking, watching this drama is only bc of Yang Yang. Although Delibra is really pretty, but she's not my fave actress. Out of her all previous actings, for the very first time I'd kinda like her in this drama. Really love her character...so adorable and a perfect match with Yang Yang.
Unlike on the last 14 days, I have a crush on the male lead. This is usually the case. I have a crush on the male protagonist but not on the actor who's portraying the main role. I'm familiar with this feeling. I really don't know why I have a crush on Xu Kai 🤣 I watched the full episodes of his 2 CDramas. I checked out the cut scenes of his other series. I also anticipate the releases of the CDramas featuring him. That is unusual 🤣 I have a crush on an actor himself. Not on a specific lead role character that he portrayed
