We went hiking to Rumtek Monastery from Gangtok Zemu hostel.
You can also take a sharing taxi from Panihouse area in Gangtok.
Get a taxi till Mayfair resort and from mayfair you can hike or take a sharing taxi to Rumtek monastery.
