@@JesseSpec Hopefully I can actually take it for a pleasure drive sometime this year. Probably about March when the Lockdowns end. UK London here Needs a bit of work though = Throttle cable needs tightening, Left rear control arm needs a look at , New whiteline ARBS need fitting. There's a limit what I can do apart from servicing as I only have jack stands and the car is parked on the street.
@@LupinYonderboy its true that the current situation and the fact that you have to do it on the floor in the cold doesn’t make DIY ing very fun! No need to hurry, therr will be some time later 😊👍🏼
@@ringmeisterjay Wow! mate that's a really kind offer. I am in SE London and would much rather do the work myself with the help of a lift and learn a bit more as I go! Got some rustproofing and the other odd jobs I mentioned to do. Obviously, I'll wait till after lockdown. I hope you don't regret the offer because I'll defiantly take you up on it! Hmm. how to give out contact details securely on RU-vid
@@JesseSpec Haha the gaming videos are from when I used to game a lot, uploaded the funny clips. And maybe I'll start making car videos haha who knows. I also have an mr2 project car which I plan on doing the swap in the future and my daily is a Celica with a 2zz :)
Just came accros your channel have a look at the videos on here of the Spirit MRS there is a interview with the builder who goes through yhe spec of the whole car . The 2zz is much lighter than a k20 he says and puts the car off balance
Hi, i’ve heard that loads of times too. I haven’t seen anyfacts though. And in all honesty, when comparing both engines, having them both side by side, I don’t see how they can be that substantially different, that some corner balancing wouldn’t fix the minimal difference there is.
Hi Piers! Thanks for your comment. If your question is if the silencers are situates outside the engine bay, yes they are. They are situated near the bumper or in the « muffler compartment ». I didn’t reinstall the heat shields yet but I will and thus keep the muffler heat ot of the engine bay 😊👍🏼
Good video! I recently bought a 2zz swapped mr-s, which uses the MWR swap header but the stock catalytic converter and exhaust/muffler. I've been reading that this can cut power a lot- should I be prioritising an aftermarket cat and muffler? They're quite expensive with current postage rates
Hi, thanks for the comment. Depending where you live you might get into trouble for doing those changes so you might want to check that first. There are gains to be made but on a stock ecu without a tune I don’t know how big the gain will be honestly.
Hi, thanks for your comment. Its not necessary but its super beneficial. The engine bay temperature will decrease thanks to that. Just to give you an example, exhaust hot, I can put my hand briefly on the wrapped area. Try doing that on a non wrapped area, you will burn yourself instantly (don’t do it 🔥😂)
Great video as always! I've finally made a start on mine, I'm hoping to get it all in before the middle of the year. Is this the same exhaust that you used with your 1zz? What sort of dB rating does it have? I'm looking for something quiet that still flows well, not sure if that exists yet haha!
Hi! Thank you! Yes it is the same one. The noise rating is very decent and not too loud especially since now I am catless. I am sure flow is good, I had picked up 12hp with the 1zz on the dyno otherwise being fully stock. So it should be good! Regarding noise, ot has jasma so its rosd legal in japan
Its my favorite one! Its the Fujitsubo Power Getter for zzw30! They are awesome. I actually gained, on the dyno 12hp with it when it was on the 1zz! Can’t wait to see what the gains will be on the 2ZZ 😍😍😍
