In this episode I am once again joined by Dr Anthony Metivier, author and internationally renowned memory expert who’s meditation practice is reciting sacred Sanskrit texts from memory.
Anthony shares his own language learning journey, including his childhood struggles learning French, to later success with languages such as German, Mandarin, Latin, Hebrew, and Sanskrit.
Anthony describes the 5 levels of processing and reveals how he uses his expertise in the art of memory to fast track language acquisition, including strategies to optimise progress in vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension.
Anthony challenges popular theories of comprehensible input, criticises gamified language learning apps, and reveals his number one secret to success in foreign language study.

I love the facts that you are into languages as well. Amazingly, you know about Lingua Latina!! Amazing. Sat bene igitur Latine scis? In quem finem hunc sermonem didicisit?

@@GuruViking Optime! Spectavi illam 'interrogationem' in youtube; placuit valde!

When someone's they have secrets, they usually are selling you some non sense, rebranded as something that might seem attractive..Perhaps consider comprehensive input, if you actually want results.

Memory palace. Imaging rooms and spaces that you’re familiar with, then use objects in that room to make associations with whatever you wish to remember. There are a number of great resources out there. Moonwalk with Einstein is a great book on memory competitions.
