Good question...it has the power, so it should work. However, the voltage will likely be a little on the lower side which will limit how hard you can drive the hashboard.
Do you mean current flow over the re-built wiring harness going to the control board? Its the same 6 pin control board connection as the S19...and without fans running there should be less current flowing through that connection, right? Did you see overheating at the control board or APW3 side of the harness?
I agree that's the 'easy' answer...its what I did in my home setup. But, I've had some requests from folks trying to mine in an apartment setting where their electricity is paid for...but they only have 120V outlets. ...just trying to give more folks the ability to stack sats, wherever they live! And...honestly...it's been fun seeing what you can do with 120V power! :-)
