EP 4: Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Darshan | Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Tour | Ujjain to Omkareshwar Temple
This is the 4th episode of our Madhya Pradesh tour in which we are visiting Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga. Omkareshwar is situated in Khandwa District of Madhya Pradesh. This video will help you with all the information like, how to reach Omkareshwar, hotels fare, How to complete Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Darshan, Places to Visit in Omkareshwar, Narmada Kaveri Sangam Point, Boat Ride in Omkareshwar etc.
The distance between Omkareshwar and Ujjain is approximately 140 km which will take you around 4 hours to reach here from Ujjain. At the same time if you are travelling from Indore to Omkareshwar, the distance is approximately 60 km and it will take 2 hours to reach here.
Below is the summary and information on Omkareshwar Darshan.
Ujjain to Omkareshwar Bus Fare: For AC Bus : Rs 250 (one way) and For Non AC Bus Rs 320 (For Non Ac bus they charge for both ways). The earliest bus you can get from Ujjain is around 6.50 am in the morning and it is recommended to book it one day in advance to avoid any last minute hassle.
Ujjain to Omkareshwar Taxi Fare: It will cost you around Rs 3500 for to & fro.
How to complete Omkareshwar Darshan: There are 2 Jyortirlingas in Omkareshwar i.e. Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga and Mamleshwar Jyotirlinga but they together considered as one Jyotirlinga i.e. Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga and it is mandatory to visit both the Jyotirlinga to complete the Darshan.
There are 2 ways to reach the temple from Gaumukh ghat, one you can use the overbridge which is quite time consuming and the other way is to visit the Omkareshwar temple via boat from Gaumukh Ghat.
Boat Fare for Omkareshwar Temple: Rs 50 per person
After completing the Darshan at Omkareshwar temple, you can go to Mamleshwar temple via bridge. After completing the Darshan of both the Jyotirlinga, you can enjoy the boat ride in Narmada river:
Boat Fare : Rs 150 per person

There is also a Parikrama of Omkar Parvat which is ~7km. If you can manage time, you can also complete this Parikrama where you will see many temples, Narmada Kaveri rivers etc.
Stay in Omkareshwar: You can get a stay here starting from Rs 500 and go on the higher side depending on your budget. Also, no need of advance booking as majority of the pilgrims visit the temple and leave on the same day.
Food Cost in Omkareshwar: Average meal cost would be around Rs 500 for 3 meals in a day. However, you can easily get street food and other options as well depending on your food budget.
