Lovely to see the Port Douglas area again and the Daintree - although you didn't include the exotic complex where we stayed together before the world was changed by Covid. Felt a great sense of association with the locality. Looking forward to the next couple of episodes for further reminiscences of our travels.

Hi Guys, love your videos. We are travelling up to Port Douglas in June towing our caravan along with our black Labrador Mac. Could please tell me who minded Archie while you did some adventures without him in Port Douglas. Keep up the great work. Thanks.

Hi Michael. We used a lovely lady called Kate who was recommended to us by the caravan park. I don’t want to post her phone number online, but if you send us a direct message on Facebook or Instagram, I’ll share her number. Also, you may be interested - that is exactly the topic of our next episode. How we manage with Archie and find sitters!! Thanks, Hannah

Hi Hannah, thanks so much for getting back to me, unfortunately I’m not on Facebook or Instagram. Thinking I will ring the caravan park and asking them if they will give me Kate’s phone number. Really looking forward to your video travelling with Archie. Happy travels Michael.

Hey Debra. Great to hear that you’re enjoying our videos! Chris’ sunglasses are Rocko’s. They were just a fairly cheap pair that Chris picked up from a pharmacy on our travels! 😂

Sorry guys, been a supporter but thumbs down on Chris's comments about the Daintree Discovery Centre (DDC). The point I think you sadly missed is that the entry fee paid goes to supporting them and all the good they do for the environment including rainforest re-vegetation, saving the cassowaries and other creatures of the forrest. My family and I visited the DDC in April this year and found what we learnt and the work they do far exceeded the cost of entry. You have a right to your opinion however when you make your view public you can negatively impact places like these that are not just there for profit alone.
@StaycationOz
@StaycationOz 2 года назад
Hi F Troop. Thanks for letting us know the good work that the Daintree Discovery Centre does. I don’t think Chris realised that on his visit as I don’t think there was anyone around educating visitors of the work when Chris was there. I didn’t go so I can’t comment, but have just looked at their website and this conservation work isn’t even explained there, so I think it could easily be missed as have seen previous reviews questioning the entry fee. Appreciate the clarification and the honest feedback. If you can find a link to a webpage detailing the conservation work they do (I couldn’t) am happy to comment and pin it to the top of the comments so it’s visible. Thanks, Hannah

Hi Hannah, thanks for you prompt response. I do however feel you responded without proper research, if you looked at there website you can see they partner with rainforests rescue and they are eco certified. For the benefit of future travelers I think you guys have a responsibility to support these types of organizations and do the research before you make comment.
