I would answer amal for charity as I feel the word sedekah is more accurate for donate. But I guess it could work too

Exactly. My first thought was Amal. Then when the answers are Derma or Sedekah im like .... that is donate

@@Monalove84 Correct. Amal itself means action. Usually we use term Amal Jariah for charity or kerja Amal. Amal Kebajikan also used sometimes but it is more used for charity organization. Derma or Sedekah is more accurate for donate because it is an action of giving material thing to help other. Generally, we use derma or sumbangan for donate. Sedekah is used more within Islamic context.

Amal jariah as in ongoing actions. Like we say sadaqatul jariah in arabic.

How the hell does derma/bersedekah means charity (a noun)? Derma/bersedekah only means donate (a verb). A more accurate word for charity would have been "amal jariah". Maybe they have to dumb it down a bit because it's a stretch for the contestants to get a 2-word answer right 🤣

Sedekah is a noun too. "Dia memberi sedekah"

@@belle_pomme But they specifically put BERsedekah in the card at the 3:12 bit. The ber- prefix implies that they're referring to the verb Even 'sedekah' is still not quite accurate since 'sedekah' is only one form of charity
