Thing did not add up. As I remember: 1. US gov had promised to give Lon Nol some money to get him out of Cambodia. Later on, he did not receive money as he got told due to Congress? 2. Long Boret vs Sokam Koy: They have discussed about solving war issue regarding Khmer Rouge get into Phnom Penh (there would be a lot of people got kill if Khmer Rouge invade or assult to get in Phnom Penh). I believed they decided that one of them will be out of the country to talk to Sihanouk and asked him to return to get power to avoid killing in Phnom Penh City. 3. Between the two, some how SoKam Koy ended up to get out of the country (Some people closed to Sokam Koy say that Long Boret tricked him to get him out of the country since Mr Sokam Koy is the interim President). 4. When Mr Sokam Koy in Bankok, he telegrammed to Sihanouk and asked him to return to Phnom Penh. Mr. Sokam Koy complained about money he got from US gov so much less than Lon Nol. This complain were broadcasted by VOA (I had listened it too). Later on, Non of Lon Nol and Sokam Koy received nothing. 5. Long Boret and other leaders declared Mr. Sokam Koy as a traiter in Phnom Penh and they formed them selfve as a 7 supreme commanders group or govement. 6. From Mr Sokam Koy side, they considered the act as a coup d'eta. 7 Lon Nol did not trust Mr. Sokam Koy. When he got power, he remove Mr. Sokam Koy from military sector and put him in Congress sector instead. That is the reason why Mr Sokam Koy name did not mentioned alot during Lon Nol regime.
