It’s so cool that Epcot is getting Soarin’ Over California!! It’s such a better experience because you don’t have so many bent over icons. So glad people in Epcot get to experience it!!👏👏👍
Bonus! Guess we’re one of the firsts to see the original. Fun seeing a different queue film of swishing California towns. Who knew you’d ever need a lightning lane for Soarin😜. At least Disneyland section is more realistic than the Electric umbrella, etc still shown at WDW but glad a temporary switch is occurring for whatever reason. Thanks for the early call 💜🚣🏻♀️🏄🏻♀️🏌🏼
Ah yes, this version was always much better than Around the world (but I still really like the one too) . Haha I’m so glad i had Lightning lane this time, got me in and out rather quickly! Hopefully this will be around for awhile, like a few months but we’ll see
Hey guys! Great Video!! Soarin is definitely a top attraction at Epcot. It was great to see the golden state with a perfect view!! Some of my favorites were the Coast Guard, hot air balloons and of course, Disneyland! What were yours?😊
Those amazing smells were back better than ever too! Disney hasn’t given an official end date for this, so I have no idea but hopefully it’s for a few months at least!

Catching the nostalgia feels!! The original Soarin’ (Over California)! Oh! That orginal Jerry Goldsmith soundtrack!! Ok, so the distortion from the sides has always been there…just hidding by the framing of the views…not anything new in Soarin’ Around the World. I can almost smell the evergreens and the orange grove!! So happy to see that Disneyland ending!! Glorious capture, 4K!! Thank you for bringing this to us!!!
I will say, the return of Soarin' at Epcot was quite the treat.😊 Even though it has been about 8 years since the last time I experienced it back at DCA, seeing this nostalgic attraction shared around from time to time is something that I am grateful for to this day.❤ Of course, Jerry Goldsmith (the person who composed the original music) is a legend and he will be greatly remembered.👍 Perhaps someday I'll return to experience the original version if the opportunity opens up again.😉
I like how we’re in a time period where the California themed theme park is showing the “World” version and the World showcase/celebration themed park is showing the California version!!

Was there last month, I have such precious memories of Soarin over California with my 8 year old Son. The bit with the fighter jets was mega. Sooo wish I was back there.
Genuinely, I had my first WDW visit in 2022. Soarin Around the World looks better to me - i like the different transitions and the fact its not all about 1 state (I'm from London). I wonder if your first version is typically your favourite 😅 thanks for the video!!
I do wish I could catch the original version before it goes away. I love this Soarin much more than the new one. I wonder how long it will be there? I hope through May 🤞
Thanks so much for this. It would be great if the California version stayed, at least until we get back next April. Missed it so much, this is the definitive version. Around the world is just too stereotyped whereas the original is emotive and immersive. Thanks again,
No problem Mike! I agree, this version for me is much better than Around the world. I’d love for them to just bring it back permanently but I doubt that’ll happen. But hopefully every year from now on Disney will bring this version back for a limited time! Thanks for watching 😃
Enjoy your videos greatly. Been coming to WDW for over 30 years and try to stay open minded about 'progress' . Still Horizons and the Movie Ride rankle. I miss Soarin’ over California so much! Disneyland only runs it in the spring for a short time. I flew out in April just to ride this ride, lol! IMO it’s far superior to soarin’ over the world. Of course, I may be biased as a California native 😁🧡
I completely agree, this original version is much better than the Around the World one! I’m so glad Disney decided to bring it back here temporarily like they do at Disneyland, and hopefully this will be a consistent thing now every year. Thanks so much as always! 😊
Hi, thanks for filming this. I preferred this version to the current one, but enjoyed both. Instead of wasting money on Guardians and Ratatouille (at least not in Epcot), I'd prefer they put things like Soarin in the countries that have no "attractions". The films are informational and fun. Also, go back to the fireworks show "Reflections" with its wonderful music.
The last time I went on this ride was about 15 years ago and it was this one, although it seems like the San Diego scene was the first one. Love the scent of the oranges as you fly over the orange groves. And yes, it's much better than the around the world one.
Guys, this is the version of Soarin’ that I am also extremely nostalgic for, and would even like if Epcot still had the option to do this version, but we really can’t act like Soarin’ Over _California_ makes more sense than Soarin’ Over the _World_ in a park like Epcot. The new version is better looking than this and also fits in much better where it is. Like I said, I love SOC, but SOtW is better for Epcot.
Wait wait wait WAIT. You mean to tell me DISNEY WORLD in FLORIDA got "Soarin' Over California" back during the 100th, but CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE did not? What in the actual f**k?
Went on it yesterday. Enjoyable! But I can’t say it’s any better than the newer one. I do wish Disney would shoot several of these and rotate them throughout the year.
California is still the best! It’s a shame to see how this state has failed politically (why many have moved out). But I’m still proud to be from CA, the Golden State
Had the Imagineers used real film footage of the amazing sites around the world instead of using so much obvious (and fake looking) CGI, Guests would have enjoyed "Soarin' Around the World" far more. Because of the complete lack of CGI, and the perfect melding of Jerry Goldsmith's masterful orchestral score, I will ALWAYS prefer "Soarin' Over California." Thanks for sharing this gorgeous, awe inspiring film. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I agree, the heavy CGI in Around the World is definitely the main problem. Maybe one day they’ll fix that but who knows. For now I’m just glad they brought back the original version, even if it is just for a limited time. Thanks so much my friend!
